ciao Grande MAVERICK l'importante e' che io posso contare su di te! ;)

Hi damiano,

thanks for the compliments

Happy to see you are seriously willing to go for a Dragon's Lair cab then

Oliver got one willing to sell for 1,500 pounds (with no Ld player (original Ld player broken) and no marquee from the photos he sent me last month)  with typical cosmetical work to do (sideart, marquee, cpo, etc..)

shipping and crating excluded (oliver is in UK)

Of course it must be done with work to do on it..

but I mean if you want it, oliver got it

I heard lee but he left the offer

Contact oliver (UK)

Mav

Ps= it would be better - as long is my knowledge in international trading -

that you state clearly (as you did when you contacted me at the phone last week)

that Now you don't have the money nor willing to buy the game on the nail

Nor having a cash deposit because you have to pay the loan for the new car bought last december (exactly what you told me in italian on the phone)

I say this because in italian "would" not means necessarly as a will to commit (in this
case to buy a DL cab)

normally it is used as a gentle way to just ask informations

Abroad (Uk, Germany, etc..) "would"  it is mostly understood that you are going to buy it

if there is a real chance (concrete) to have it

Just to make sure you don't get misunderstood or someone get angry with you for not fulfilling the purchase due to the time considered wasted just on asking informations..  ;)

State also that you are a newbie to all this thing and got no knowledge in road trips or restoring (it is always better to clear these points in advance to prepare other collectors that went beyond all these typical issues)

Good luck

Message for Ully: look at the future, you lost nothing if you still want it, oliver is waiting for you!  ;)

I think as all Europeans buyers with all had this problems buying from Us or Australia or all around the world,

Import is a delicate shipping

It is not like a national shipping, it involve customs, different shippers from country to coutry, Vat fee's

The illusion to pay less from a seller on the other face of the planet has vanished since Ebay have made us dream so,

But the reason why they are now using new paypal refund tools (the latests approved last week) is because everybody is slowly understanding this point

So Ebay is losing buyers and sales

Mav

One hint: if you pay more than $100, to avoid any problem: create a Ups account

It will cost something but you'll have at home what you paid for, with no hassles and no money lost

Regarding the cab, it's cool looking, but the game.... got it myself, and it's quite boreing....

I can understand that many who not played and lived Xevious in the arcade in 82 when it came out

it can seems "asectic" and extremely minimal if compared to others shooters of that time

But,

as said before Xevious reveal itself only when you play it further

it is more in the game play (and its difficulty) that makes you go crazy for it than for his graphic or music

Maybe seeing it when it came out did not had lot of difference its music (That IMHO it is really japanese: minimal and repetitive (as all jap shooters style) that hang your attention and mind to the game with its hypnotic loop - when I play, it makes feel anxious)

since the gameplay in those days was the first thing to look at

even dragon buster (who implemented for the first time the level bar exploited then on Street Fighter I & II instead of the "usual" 3 life/death) was a innovative for that time in the gameplay

Today it would make a newbie smile..

That's how story goes

Xevious anyway is a great game, and I add extremely diffucult to finish as in the Japan tradition as Sega's Zaxxon

You would need a Cycraft for that - probably a perfect fit

.. a Cycraft?!

Oliver, now you own even Sega's Cycrafts?!?  :ghost:

Invade your girldfriend house with ol' cab games wasn't enough?!

now even Cycrafts?!

If I would know you, I couldn't believe it

But since I know I expect even the impossible  :?

Mav

.. a R360, no?

Your friend in Japan should have shipped it as a gift to prevent import duties. I always ask the guys from the states to do this.

It is an illegal declaration and bruno may incur in penal procedure for false declaration
(nothing to joke about in your lands)

The japan friend has done the right thing, also because he would be promptly legally issued (even him) and reported to the japan immigration for a sudden expulsion to the home country

in Japan law is very TOUGH

there is nothing to joke about it

Live it and you'll know it

Last year 3 guys got 4 years prison charge for having scanned a manga and share it online

@Maverick: Outrun steering wheel part B, is that the big tooth gear ? Rob (Arcadecollection) is looking for one.

I know, he is not the only one, as explained before some parts are very difficult to find and expensive to get

I got one last year at Mak japan in Tokyo,

Maybe he should ask to Bruno's Japan friend to go right there and buy 1 for him

puh, 300 euros for 6 light bulbs - that's a LOT!!!   but what can you do if you need them?

no surprise spare parts cost so much (especially from Japan - that is my main business)

Most of the times if you need a specific part of a game, you have to be prepared to pay much

you can pay even the 50% of the entire game for particular parts in specific games if totally broken

Most under estimate this factor and found themself in trouble when parts got broken

Some common examples:

turbo outrun suicide battery FD, capcom suicide battery, asteroids vector monitor, donkey kong monitor, original Dragon's lair/Space Ace Laserdisc player, Tron board and MCR, Taito space invaders MB, Outrun steering wheel part B, After Burner Joystick potentiometer, etc..

That's how things go

and soon or later you have to face it if you want to keep these games original inside

I figured I was to young and was a bit paranoid to ask that very question LOL

Mach 3 is one of the LD games probably not really well know in Europe and in the amusement centers only some years

Ld players had lot of problems for maintanace

Game play is the typical Astron Belt style (beautiful graphics on the backgroud and pixel characters overimposed)

Congrats bruno,

keep it going

I quote,

for BD full price,

I think you're not selfish just a fan who would like to see an animated sequel (after 30 years is more than justified)
