lol, did some measuring, nothinh wrong with the voltages on the monitor

My switching PSU was on 110V instead of 220V  so I gues that's what blew with a bang

I'm going to replace it and fire it up again

I just fired up the Hyper Olympic and I think the monitor blew. I heared a big knocking sound >:( and the lights went out

I didn't change anything in the powering of the monitor and it was working fine before.

Can something inside the tube make this sound? There is no evidence of damage from the outside or on the chassis
Does it plays blind? (Can you hear the game playing?).
Is your monitor's neck glowing?

2 years ago my Space Invaders died just before loading in the trailer.
I wanted to take a last picture of my kid playing with the game before leaving and bam!
PCB died :(

Ah, my fault. I wasn't aware that your cabs will be picked up by the EC team  ::)

Don't worry, ReBoot...we won't wrap the cabs before we load them into the car. Of course we will use blankets and stuff so the 'signs of age' don't get worse ;)

But that's the problem, the guys from Eurocade are going to get the outruns tomorrow if i'm not mistaken, so only tonight i can do a bit on it to get it ready, hopefully, just the bare minimum: screws and a lock and a littlebit of cleaning.
Hopefully not overseen other important stuff, like not having new screws or a lock. That was a stupid oversight of me.

Won't touch the main pcb for the dipswitches for freeplay, to scared to mess the working one up for eurocade, although it seems pretty easy to do. Let the pro's do it so it won't go wrong.  :)

well, just put the pcb in it, no picture, no sound

the game works fine at my bench

I'll do a monitor swap, that should fix the picture, but I have to look into the sound issue. I could change the sound wires to try if it works

That was an exception to the general rule because

a) two Out Run Deluxes can't be moved in anything else than a fucking big van (like we had ;))
b) Reboot lives quite close to Hilversum

I'm not sure the team wants to have this every year so I assume there might be no 'next year'...at least not next year ;)
