I'm rearranging a little bit all my three rooms... a nice opportunity to show new pictures.

Back on the 'V2' room, with the 'right after the door' row :

Same row, but from the opposite side of the room :

Yes yes, the Star Wars cockpit is also on that row, see  ;D

Looks awesome! I love the lighting in there, and all the memorabilia and stuff above the cabs.

Sweet, great light show. What are you using, tubes and laser?

Yes, fluorescent tubes all the way, plus two laser effects systems. Should add a new one in other to have at least one laser effect per room. Note that the huge V3 room would look far better with a second one too  :P But I'm sure I already use too much power with all my current stuff, and dunno how far I can add new electrical stuff TBH...  :P

I will not be asking about your electrical bill, but I will ask what is your favourite game at this time? I'm guessing the new Darius, but please name at least three of your currently challenging games.

Well, often changing games is my key for 'keeping the fun to play' in there, but I'm really on DariusBurst, Galaxian3 'Dragoon', Xevious, Starblade these last weeks!  :)
Oh, and I'm very often playing Xbox360 'Gears of Wars' multi-players game, comfortably seated inside my triple xbox 'driving' setup...Yeah...I know... this is blasphemy! this is Madness!  ;D

Oh, while I'm here, just got a huge DX marquee (yeah the huge marquee only, not the game that came with unfortunately), which is a perfect 'prop' to light & display inside a game room  ;)

Namco rulez!  ;D

It's time for a small enhancement :

The original door for the V1 is no more used since I got two others doors (V2 an V3).
I would like to hide that door, and gain some space to put a cabinet of front of it.
Of course still want to use it if needed, so the idea is to hide that door by using a huge piece of wood, simply placed against the wall. No fixation at all, just placed against the wall so it can be moved in no time if needed.

Now let's go back almost exactly 10 years ago  8)

But first, I'll apply the primary layer :

Yeah... it's time to dig up an old friend... the original V1 paint can

"Old...but not obsolete;)

Like the good old days... painting inside the lair  :P

V1 door... hidden!

Et voilà, a new spot for my Pac Man :-*

Maybe consider an enclosed walkway to your house?  I didn't like going in between the two buildings outside at night... Not to mention during cold/bad weather.

Sir, I would like to get a feeling for gamerooms. Do you know how many machines you have and what the m²´s of your entire arcade are?
I have a dream....that one day....all members of forum are the same....no matter how long ago they have joined, how many games they own or how many posts they wrote ;)

I totally understand you! What a pain to go outside when it's cold/raining/dark.
I would dream to have an direct access from my house, but it's hardly possible in my case. I have to keep a way between the road and the back of my game room/garden for a car/trailer (anything bigger than a door in a general way)...
I would like soooo much to go in there anytime, even very late for a last game, pajama and no shoes, walking onto the cozy carpet...  :-*

3 rooms for a total of 140 m2... and something between 50-55 cabinets approx 8)
