...Congrats Guys, keep the great work up.
-Jas

Many thanks Jas' for your morale support  :-*
In many situations, I use to do like you : "Aim for the moon..."  ;) It takes time... but it works  :)

.. how come you're adding another door?  Shouldn't there be enough room in the lair currently so all you have to do is bring in games, (just move stuff near the door out of the way while moving in) and then take them into the new addition?

Yes, there'll be a big opening between the two rooms, but for commodity reasons, I prefer to have a dedicated door to put/remove games in that room directly from the outside 8)

Yes once the V2 done... the last episode of the Trilogy will start : Nuno3 for the Galaxian3  ::) :P

I know this is only temporary till V3, maybe have something in mind later etc?

Well I guess Bruno is planning guided tours in his lair: so 1 door as entrance and 1 door as exit.
God must love crazy people, he made so many of them!!

Do I have to buy a ticket?

And do I get to play with the display pieces in your museum? ... Please?

Nope Emogee, free for all the DLF members  ;) :D

Hey Bruno.. Looking Great!!..  Have a question for you...  (might have asked before, sorry if I did)

I notice that you have no A/C for your gameroom or any ventilation.. I did see a space heater before though..

Do you have any trouble with it getting hot in your lair?  What about dampness/humidity?   Is you climate different than ours?

Here in the summer our typical temps are 90 degrees with 80% humidity.
In winter 65 is the average with slightly lower humidity.

Just curious, as you see the great lengths I had to go to, to maintain comfortable/safe temperatures in my game room.

In the current Lair, I don't use any ventilation or A/C.

Here, in Belgium... we maybe have 20 days per years with hot temperature : I mean upper than 28° Celsius  (82° Fahrenheit for you) ... so I really don't need an Cold A/C  ;) During some hot day, I use to let the door open, and the small windows at the back of the room in order to refresh the air, and avoid any bad smells by the way  :D
So the bad thing about the Belgium weather ... it's very cold  :-\ So I use an electric radiator up 24h on 24h, 7 days per week, and 12 months per year ...set to warm at least 14~15° Celsius (approx 60° Fahrenheit) which is more than fine your our old games  :)
Sometime my wife is not happy... because the game room is more warm than some rooms in our house in winter  :o ;) ...ArcadeLifeStyle all the way  :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:  :P

I thing I'll buy a new radiator for the v1+v2 ... more powerful by also more economical too (electricity is so expensive nowadays )

That's interesting. I never realized Belgian summers were so mild.
Here in New York it's very humid in the summer (90 degrees and 90-100% humidity!) (worse than your area Barry!). You can see the moisture on the walls in my garage. I often have to wipe down the mildew that forms on some of my machines!
Like Barry, I found the dehumidifier to be a life saver and now it runs 24x7.
I can't wait to see more your new game room photos!
Alex

Yeps... no worry about humidity here... it would be too unfair : In US, you already have all to classic games, the sun almost every days on the year (mhhhhh maybe not at New York ) ... so you can have at least one bad thing like *humidity*     ;) :-*

Ok, so the work today is to set the opening between the existing lair and the new room.

Of course, because there no roof and no door for the moment, we will stop the job at this step :

The overture between the two room will be 115cm / 45,2 " width... and of course : no door between the two rooms   8)

Hi Bruno, is that your father up there helping you out?
What's the roof made out of? It looks like enamel covered metal.
Good luck!

Yes Alex, my father is 'The Man' on this first part of the project  ;) :-*

I dunno the correct word in English, but I would say the roof is "metal sheet" or better "corrugated iron"  8)

Weather is better now, time to finish the main structure of the roof :

...yes, still my father in action  :P  :-*

..but hey, I'm working on this too  8) It's me here  :P ;D

'ArcadeLifeStyle' situation can be very dangerous  :ghost: Caution here, on the roof

... and this is it :

Another step done...  :)

...'til the next one of course  8)
