Greatest Arcade story so far, IMHO! You deserve to take a nap there....who wouldn't like to do the same?  ::)

Hope you got lots of nice folks around you to play with you....I could imagine this is a bit boring to play alone :)

Second, did you find what that little board, in seat 2 or 3 or something, does?

Nope, it looks like an additional power supply to make the additional coins detector works? Will have to double check that...anyway, useless in my setup fully working!  ;)

Otherwise, few bulbs from the front theater were not working, just replaced all of them (eight!) with brand new one/exact match (thanks for oversea shipping, Barry  :-*

Oh, and finally get rid of my Project Dragoon/Zolgear 'mixed' setup, now the Galaxian is loading its full 'Attack Of The Zolgear' setup  :-*

Fluorescent Lamp on each seat wasn't working anymore. Just replaced all of them by brand new ones...

There's no 'roof' provided by Namco with the Theater.
It's up to the operator to arrange 'something'. Sure, you can let it without no roof, but it involves you to switch off the lights in order to avoid them to light the screen during a game

Soooo, let's built something!  8)

See how my car can easily 'loads' 8 panels (244x122cm) + 10 rafters (350cm)

Just put the 10 rafters on the top...

...and drop the panels on it...

And this is it!  :-*

Proof of concept demonstrated  ;D Next step, remove the panels and paint the inside in black, and the external side in blue. Of course, a blue that will match the blue of the Theater  ;) Wait! Do will I have to bring a part of it to the paint shop, in order to scan the blue? Hell Yeaahhh!  ;D

Let me just express a slight consern about the possible oxygen deprivation, and the causes thereof. Not to mention the unpleasant smell if someone has had too much beans.

Did you make sure there is sufficient ventilation inside the player's area?

:D

No ventilation problem at all. The roof doesn't close totally the theater. You can even  spot on the last picture the light coming from the top, without lightening the screen. In addition the theater is fully open on its back.  8)

yes, well you can test that theory in practice, six big men playing G3 for an hour. I will bet you that somebody is going to feel dizzy.

Is it just me that I have to say: Sigh ! ......jeez Tom, the doors to the theatre are larger than a man's size. There's two of them, the roof is not completely closed as Bruno already said. So plenty air in, plenty air out. Ventilation starts naturally by the players body heat...if not any other heat sources. the hot air will rise and escape through the "holes" in the roof, fresh air will be drawn from the front/bottom.

I'm sure after an hour someone's going to be dizzy, but I'll bet it's from the game, not a lack of air...

I was thinking black for the inside roof as well but did you consider silver paint ? I am not sure how that would work out, but it might give a bit more a feeling of being in a cockpit...on the other hand, your eyes are way too busy watching the screen :)

Those "small" details like each player's fluorescent tube ( :) ) just finish off a machine like that :)  :spaceace:

Yes yes, jeez me. But you do agree that I have a certain point in the argument. The brain does need oxygen, and you need your brain to play well. I really hope that the circulation by the game fans will be sufficient, or I will bring my own oxygen tank into the theater.

Painting the roof, I'd use a matt black to avoid any reflections from any possible angles.
