Just out of curiosity, did you ever get the keys for the projector hatches?

Nope, but it's not a problem since the theater is disassembled. I will use new locks for the two projectors hatches.

I like your dad there, 'man with the cap and bushy eyebrows', inspecting the construction of Galaxian theater. Kind of makes you wonder what he was doing when he was your age. Probably not collecting interactive digital art of any sort.

I had expected that you would put the theater with the entrance towards the position of the camera

I see it. The document actually reveals that you need two women in the crew to be able to fully play the game.

Yes, totally! I also remember I tried many times to explain him the main objective of the game room V3, almost built exclusively to match the Galaxian3 Theater6 specifications! ...without success. But now since he can see the monster coming to live, he's more & more curious about it!  Wink Will be fun to see him playing it at the end! Because now, it's no more 'words or 'a dream' only.. this beast exists in the real world... inside the Nuno's Lair!  Cool

Found this on the Internet.

You have no idea how many times I dreamed while watching that flyer! I've used that flyer for the very first picture of this topic by the way, see  Grin  arrow

Because it was a 'teasing picture', I had to 'hide' it on the picture. Of course I don't have it in my hand, but the flyer is lying on the Space Invaders cocktail table...  Tongue

EPISODE 11: "Let's name it..."

Starring : Darth Nuno

Hey, this part of the V3 is almost empty!  Cool No more huges parts...

This metal beast is quite cool... but still has no name on it?

Ahhhaaaa! OK! Here we are... I have this ...'marquee'? since so many years in my office or my attic, and now it is here! ... almost on location!  Kiss

A quick look inside...interesting : a bulb fixed on a 'rotary/motorized' platform? Yes, and on each side of the marquee! How cool it will look once plugged! Can't wait guys!  Tongue

Let's name it! Galaxian≥ ...Rise!  Kiss  arrow

Here's the 2nd 'marquee' ... the original one that came with the first Theater6 mission : Project Dragoon!  Kiss  arrow

That one was hidden under the 'Attack Of The Zolgear' marquee kit ('Attack Of The Zolgear' is the 2nd and last game done by Namco for the Theater6)
It looks in very good condition to me (normal, it has been hidden/protected by the 'Zolgear' marquee for many years), expect there are a lot of @#%*? on it!?  Evil  arrow

I would say it's the remain of 20 years old 'coke/ice cream/candies?'... Beuark!

I'm lucky, only one tatoo ... M+I ?  Roll Eyes  arrow

Damn it! All that dirt was not easy to remove. I had to use strong products, mostly my usual 'sticker remover liquid' but very carefully... I didn't want to ruin this unique marquee! Done  Kiss  arrow

Let's sub-name it!  arrow

My initial idea was to present the GT6 in its original "Galaxian≥ Theater6 / Project Dragoon" setup... I mean without any Zolgear items, but 4 'lamp covers' are missing as you can see in the previous picture. These 4 'lamp covers' was removed by the operator (original owner) when he applied the 'Zolgear' kit. Because yes, in order to apply the 'Zolgear' kit, the 4 central 'lamp covers' have to be removed. Here's one 'lamp cover', from the edge of the theater arrow

Well, of course I didn't know that, five years ago during the disassembling. Maybe these 4 plastic covers are still somewhere in the basement of that Belgium game room? I doubt it! It's just 4 pieces of plastics... probably trashed since all these years... but who knows? I'll ask the operator if by chance it's still 'somewhere'?

Ok, because I really want to display the original 'Project Dragoon' marquee, but I don't want to let the 4 lamps 'naked' (without their cover), I'll do a Dragoon/Zolgear mix, see  Smiley  arrow

View from the back... not finished of course :

View inside the central part, that will host...

...the two projectors :

The projectors wires are going down inside one of the three pillars, the central one...

...and at the base of that pillar, a connector for the Bose bass speaker,...

...which is now connected and on location  arrow

And of course, these two huge wires are going inside the middle PCB rack, via the 'tunnel' between player seat #3 and #4

So, to resume, most of the cables are located here, inside the central pillar...

...now hidden, and protected by this plate!

The End

No smoking!? You want to tell you father he can't smoke his pipe in there?? You need to get rid of those stickers, Bruno. Really.

Otherwise, looking splendid! Everything is coming along as I have forseen.. (!), well at least as I've always hoped.

I also hope you will recover the lost covers there. Damn these little details when missing, it is so annoying!
