During the gameplay, on every button I hit a blue circle in the lower left corner appears, hotkeys or so. I don't want them. How do you remove these bugger circles?

« on: October 16, 2020, 01:40:18 PM »
Does any of the DLF forumers have something to do with the new arcade museum that got opened this week in Brussel?
Anybody been there? If so, what is your impression?

« on: August 13, 2019, 11:57:12 AM »
I just visited a garage, and they had a Ladybug cabinet. The owner said he had a problem with the 2 player option: the screen rotates 180 degrees.
My idea was that this might have a board from a cocktail, or that the board is for both cocktail and standup, but that it has some setting/jumper.

Does anybody know what to look for?
It seems to be a Zaccaria style cab.

I just uploaded a new video on Youtube about my beloved Bandai Solar Power Double Panel games.
Airport Panic is awesome, but it was quite yellow. In the video I show you how to easily retrobright handhelds.

Arcade Lifestyle / Arcade clock
« on: February 19, 2019, 06:42:15 PM »
I recently visited a pong clock workshop, for making a 16x32 RGB pixel PONG clock with an arduino, but the small panels were sold out. So I decided to make a 128x32 pixel arcade clock instead:

Hi DLF, I just finished my first Youtube channel video about the 5 best VFD table tops: for the English fans

« on: January 24, 2018, 02:13:06 PM »
Woody Pianoshack did the Space Harrier tune on Dexed, a virtual version of the legendary DX7 synthesizer by Yamaha.
The original SH cab had a similar but slightly simplified synth chip.

Arcade Lifestyle / Who's on NoCo TV Collectorsquest 9
« on: January 30, 2017, 08:49:37 PM »
I saw a post about Collectors Quest 9 on FB. Florent Gorges visits collectors in Europe. Episode 9 seems to be a visit to an arcade cab collector. What is stuoid about the site: no information on the programs. Just pay and then find out if you get what you expected.
Anyway, does it feature any of the DLF members?

This week there is a side event to the ongoing Youtube exposition at Beeld and Geluid.
You can play a bunch of retro consoles and arcade cabs supplied by Computers and Games in Zwolle, and you can see a big part of my handheld collection. I made a short video of the cabinets:
All is on show through next Sunday.

Arcade Lifestyle / WOW OMG HEART: Atari Super Sprint
« on: April 21, 2016, 06:49:09 PM »
Just run into a game from Atari: Super Sprint. It probably sounds foolish not knowing this game, but WOW what a game! The music, the gameplay it is stellar! I also saw it is an improved version of prior Sprint games. Who owns this marvel?
Even more stunning cab-wise is Sprint-8. Anyone having that in his game room? I'm trying to find a good picture, to no avail..
Is it true the music is made by Hal Canon, the guy no-one knows about?

Here, the intro-screen is as perfect:

'Business' Area : Buy/Sell/Trade / French stubborness hitting in again
« on: April 13, 2016, 08:37:38 AM »
Found a piece that I really want in France, but OMG French can be shitty when it comes to payment. Why are they so distrustful about IBAN transfers? Only risk is for me, not getting the goods.
Instead they ask for CHEQUE! WTF? This is ancient crap, we ditched in 1989!
The lady tells by French law she is not allowed to send goods abroad unless paid in cash or checque. That sounds like a croque monsieur.

So who from France can show me the opposite and help me tackle this problem? It will get you eternal fame in the book thanks ( and off course I take any transaction costs.

All the rest / Heavy Internet disruption right now?
« on: September 24, 2014, 01:16:31 PM »
Seems like Internet is freaking out at the moment. I can only reach some nearby local host servers, like Dragons Lair. Anybody experiencing the same? No Google, no Facebook, no Youtube, no newspapers....
