All the rest / Holiday season and Paypal 45 days limit for claims

It seems a returning issue: I have holidays, and I miss some deadlines on the 45 day limit for filing paypal claims, and it always combines with items getting lost (holiday postman perhaps?)....
Throughout the year, all is received well, during cucumber time, stuff gets lost and no options to claim.

What do you guys think?
Should Paypal add 1 month for the claim period if it ends in july/august?
Any similar experiences?

In april I won an item on Ebay for the starting price (quite low for the product). No other bidders, I won.
Paid the item, then waiting, waiting, waiting.....

45 days refund limit almost reached, so I file a complaint.
No response
I turn it into a claim on june 25th.
No response
Claim is approved, got my money back
Guess what, today the item is in the mail
Sent on the 27th of June!
Never got ONE mail from the seller about all this.

So what is happening?
Is it a tactic to see if someone files a claim, then refund it without hassle, and relist it again at an higher price? Why was it shipped after the claim?

And now, just received a nice item, so I think about paying it again (without the double exchange rate loss that goes into Paypals pockets off course).
Did any of you guys encounter things like this?

Bought a game on Ebay, and the original ad mentioned 20$ posting (priority) for a small game&watch game (10$ price) USA->NL
I asked the seller if he had a cheaper option (first class), and he said it was ok and that he would pick the cheapest at the PO.
Got the package, envelope had a 6.80$ stamp. But the guy never changed the fee on Ebay (I asked him to update the total), and as he did not respond, and I was getting all those anoying "you must pay now" emails, I paid the fee incl. 20$ shipping.
I asked him to refund the difference, and now he says: "how does 5$ refund sound...."
Little weird. Seems like he put the difference in his pocket as I was the only bidder and he probably expected more. Now I paid 23.20 in a way for the game.
What to do?

OK, I'm going nuts on a bit of biology.

I have 2 LCD screens, one at work, and one at home

In both rooms, ONE FRUITFLY is flying around the screen. Never 2, never 0.
If you kill one, then the NEXT DAY, again 1 FRUITFLY hovers around the screen.

Please help me explain this!

Another miracle:
- Regular flies tend to fly circles around lamps. But they also do it around lamp hooks in the ceiling. With the power cut, no lamp hanging, just 2 wires with a screw connector, it still attracts flies like IF THERE WAS a lamp. Nature is a mystery.

But the weird thing now:
No emails confirming it
No pages if I click the URL's in my watch list
Says the user does not exist
Can't see the message I got from the seller that he wants to ship to NL.

Is there anything wrong with Ebay.fr right now?

Just experienced some very weird behaviour with the Ebay app for iOS. It seems to work on the local clock, instead of the eBay clock like the website does.
I was bidding on the item, and the seconds were counting down. 3-2-1-0... I had the high bid.
But then it returned to the main screen, and the auction was still open for half a minute. Sniper, bam, lost the auction. So between the iPod finish time and the real finish time was about 50 seconds. Really annoying. So never bid with the app! The website is much safer. I'm going to trash it with a no-start vote now.

You would expect from summertime:
-sleeping too long and being late at work
-finally being able to catch some "pauw and witteman" cause 23.00 is for a short while more like 22.00, so you can stay up 1 hour longer.

Well, it worked the opposite around:
getting up at 4.30 winter time, and going to bed at 21.00 winter time.... AAARGHHH
More annoying: the kiddo stayed at wintertime. So he goes to bed at 20.00 now.
My free evening was instantly reduced from being roughly 3,5-4 hours, to a lousy 1,5-2 hours. To compensate, I start to work right now.....

Thanks to great help of one of our new members, Dr Blair, I finally got my hands on the no.1 Handheld VFD game ever made* in complete boxed condition. It is beautiful, it has rocking game play, but it is hard to get:
Bandai FL Burger Time.
It travelled right from 1983 Tokyo to 2012 Eindhoven by EMS Time Travel. The original price of 7980¥ was inflation-corrected, but hey, that is still a small price for time travelling!

Got a package from Canada yesterday!
Ms. PacMan from Coleco!

It is said to be the best in terms of game play from the Coleco table tops yet the rarest.

Great condition, only a bit bubbling below the stickers at some points (loose glue). But no sticker rot (dark spots) or any damage.
And off course, as always, the battery door is missing. I'm going to Shapeways a few new sometime :).


Screen: look the nice detailed Ms with her red lips and bow-tie. The only handheld pac-man clone that actually has fruits to collect.

Another win on Ebay: Zaxxon. Not the doorstopper-fugly-totally-unplayable Coleco Zaxxon, but the awesome Bandai FL version. Coming up next...
