Back in November 2012...

Following that Assault Road Trip, I've seen other interesting games at this place...I can't let them there, so ...LET'S GET BUSY!  ;D

My usual main 'tool'  8)  :arrow:



In fact my car won't really be useful today. I'm going to score TWO games, impossible to load in my car. So I agree with the seller that I'll go to his place, help him to load the stuff in his trailer, and go back together. Anyway, here we go ...



Country roads...



...so quiet here...



The seller is living very close, but I have to jump on an highway for a very short segment of road...and this is not as quiet than my country roads  :?



Just after this roundabout...



I'm already at the seller's warehouse...



Cranes...



Sidam cab'...



But today, I'm here for this...



Allied's DAYTONA 500, an electro-mechanical made in 1976!

I always wanted an electro-mechanical game in my collection, and although I have no specific memories of this game, that one looks really cool and will do the 'job'!  :-*

Let's load that beast!  :arrow:



Not too bad for a 37 years old cabinet. Except the seat that will need a repair...



Oh, and while I'm here, why not bringing back that very nice Atari Blasteroids  ::) :P



I had great memories on that one. Not the arcade version I didn't played as far as I remember, but the AMIGA port of the game...but nothing can beat the life size thing!  ;D



Very good condition for that Blasto', now loaded...



Ok, the two games are now inside the seller's trailer...including some Starblade parts  :-*



Back at the Nuno's Lair with all that stuff to unload...



That was a short one :



2h55 - 58 km  ;D

Next : focus on these new games  8)

This Daytona is the one Chrischris mentioned in this topic, but I got it from a different seller...funny  8)
Hey, it looks like I'm gonna be the first KLOV owner referenced for this cab, cooool!  :P
Michael, where did you got the pictures you contributed on klov by the way?

I like the Daytona !, very cool.

did you see that the one in chrischris report also has chairdamage about the same position.

I guess alot of people "hang" there while watching  ;)

Blasteroids i dont dig that much, but thats my opinion, i am happy for you  ;D

Daytona is very cool indeed, EM games are simply amazing, congrats for this great catch. :spaceace:

Yeps, I already had opportunities to buy it, but l wasn't crazy about that one, and so didn't got it ... so far.
But more I play it, more I like it... far better than the Amiga version, which was already very good.

blasteroids is a fun game indeed, i got mine for 50 euros working, you can't go wrong there 8). as for daytona 500: i agree, it looks cool, but i'm not sure how high the replay value is on this one. trouble with old em games is that they can get boring quickly, so you have to be very selective which one to get and which one to pass on, e.g. i'd love to have that junkyard em game that F.A.O. has - that is one hell of a game which makes you come back to play over and over again!

That seat looked nasty, did put a new one in, please post an update of it cleaned up!

Well, I do not have that Daytona 500 anymore. Sold to an other collector, fan of electro-mecca  8)
