Thanks, although the speed is not important for now, i still have untill september  ;D

After sanding the side...

There are still some minor grooves in the wood  :-\
Next project will be MDF i think...

Looks like i need to do another go with the bondo..

Also cutted and glued the supports for the backside..
suddenly the little helper came and had the look in his eyes like i did something wrong...

Hey daddy, let me show you how to put the clamps there !

You see?, thats how you do it !  ;D

Drying time  :D

Geezzzz....I worked with the belt-sander two days ago. What can I say, I already love it !

However....if anyone else is interested in getting one....some warnings:

1) wear ear protection......the noise is TERRIBLE.....
2) these things eat......I mean they EAT.....I've been doing the CP of my Ms.Pac Man. I think that CP has taken me the most time of ALL the CPs I've done so far. Now, I was maybe impatient but I had fixed the belt-sander upside down to my Workmate and pushed the metal stuff (also LL marquee retainers, LL monitor parts) over the sander. What you do NOT want to do (even though it's tempting) is to use the edges of the plate or even the front roller. It's tempting because it's "hitting" really hard there so it takes away what you want to be taken away but.....also more......I have several clear dents in f.i. the retainers. The CP is mostly OK as I didn't use it much there...but again, be patient and careful.
I will have to bondo the dents out now.....and Bondo and I.....we just don't seem to be good friends....

I also cleaned the CRT which came out pretty nicely. Some of the aquadag started flaking at the edge so I had to be careful but it's OK now.

Transistors arrived and replaced the bad one. Want to test in the cab but for a change it's raining at the moment....

Thanks Reboot !

After the Eurocade crew meeting, i worked a bit on the control panel.
Lets find a piece of metal first..
Yeah, I think this old pc case door will do..

After all it has passed "Denco's" Quality control  ;D

Started with the manual iron saw..  :-\

then i realised i am more lazy then i thought i where  :D

As discussed before, my beltsander has the clamps for stationary use, so lets try it out..

Repeated this on all 4 sides and checked with a hook and a straight piece of metal..

Used a center point to mark the drilling points, and drilled the holes for the potmeters after that..

Pots fit like a glove  :P

Lets see if it fits in the holes that are already in the cabinet..

And now in place..

Just for the idea i have put the paper version of the CPO there  ::)

Thats it for today  8)

What's the serial number for this model? Im sure it's a rare limited run, right?

Little update today..
I could not let the CP "unfinished" so it was time to apply the CPO..

First i want to try out the punch on the alusticker to practice a bit..
Goes very well and easy:

Then after i did that on the real CPO it was time to position it..

After i screwed up the first CPO, (it rolled up after i removed the adhesive protection...  i could not undo that without damaging it..)
Luckily i had them printed twice so i was not totally screwed  :P
here is the second appied and trimmed half..

Trimmed totally and ready for "Pot installation"  ::)

Carefully tightened the nuts to prevent damage..

And finished  8)
