1981 Nintendo Donkey Kong Upright
« on: June 02, 2011, 04:49:35 PM »
I would like to see this go to someone with abit of experience that can maintain her and who really loves the game let's remember these cabinets are 30 years old they require maintenance from time to time and ideally I need it collecting this month to make room for some new furniture so please only serious buyers.

Anyways I'll shut up now and tell you abit about the machine...

The good..

1981 Original Donkey Kong Cab
Solid Plywood cabinet type (not the crappy chipwood type)
Original Nintendo Donkey Kong PCB (2 board)
High Score Kit Installed which also includes Donkey Kong 2 Return Of Jumpman!!
Original Sanyo EZ monitor
Totally Original Harness / Wiring
Original Power Supply

The bad (or not so bad):

Just a couple of little niggles the monitor works but has the shakes from cold takes 5 mins to warm up and then displays a great picture - I would recommend that the buyer installs the monitor cap kit that I will provide free of charge that I purchased from Bob Roberts. This cap kit also includes the monitor sound board cap kit which I would also recommend installing as just recently every now and then the sound has been cutting out this is either a bad cap on the monitor sound board, a loose wire somewhere or the game board may have a failing component that needs looking at.

The cabinet is currently set to freeplay to have it running on quarters again the coin mechs will need new switches and a new harness hint: search the klov forums they come up all the time.

I will also through in a box of spares which contains a spare monitor chassis, spare original power supply, some nintendo joysticks, spare marquee, spare control panel and a few other bits and bobs worth well over £100.

Collection information:  Machine is located in Sapcote, Leicestershire, United Kingdom and is to be collected this month / beginning of August please!

Note: I work shifts so it will have to be a date that fits around my shift rota for example collection might be a week day morning.

Any questions just ask I've been active on the Jamma+ forum for years and consider myself to have a good rep over there.

£1100 ono
