Yeah, one of the great "features" of the G07, soldered fuses.....whoever got that idea...

SO, you have to desolder it. Even worse, you'll need to find fuses with soldered wires on them....

Or try to put some decent fuse holders in there.

Mind you , the G07 (at least I think that's a G07) is a great chassis...if it's just the fuse...

The monitor was working the whole weekend (10 hours strait) but when i turned it on yesterday it was not, it played blind though...
The reason the fuse blowed, was that i accidently touched 120v + ground....

What does F901 look like (the little one, on the other side of the large electrolytic cap).

What does the flyback look like?

Could this be the reason the monitor did´nt work in the first place??: (blown cap!!!)

Weird flyback:

some people call that the neck-board, but in Demark I guess it's a flyback. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Always stubborn those Danish, no Euro, calling neckboards fly-backs...t-t-t-t-t-t-t....  ;D

And this my friend :):

Doesn't look like a blown cap to me. Not 100% sure but it just looks like  a very dirty chassis you lazy $&*(&_$@_& clean it (a bit) ;) I'm not into putting monitor PCB's in dishwashers but you can already clean a lot with paper towel and some glassex (spray the glassex on the towel, not on the PCB!).

A blown cap typically is either round at the top or in severe cases the top is open. Actually the top of caps has weak "lines" so that it will explode right there if things go wrong, so that not the entire cab explodes around on the PCB and distributes it's nasty substances....

No, it's surely not blown. It could be leaky though....never mind, it should have been cap-kitted long ago ;)

Wait a minute you accidently touched 120V + ground, you mean with your hands or did you short-citcuit it ?

In any case, by some of those fuses and try to replace one first. If it blows again, there's something else wrong. If not, you're very lucky ....

I can order a lot of stuff, but i´m simply running out of time getting it fixed!
I´m going back to England the 7. next month, and it needs to be running before that date!
So i have a WTB on a chassis + neckboard on KLOV... hope there´s someone replying!!!!

thats an option, but replacing a complete chassis if it is probably just the fuse, is a bit expensive iym

on the other hand, it does not hurt to have a spare chassis around  ::)

I could order a G07 Deluxe repair kit from Bob Roberts

but it would be easier to just get a working G07 chassis...
