Mmm, not that hard to bridge those cracks with some thick solid wires....

Monitor repaired by Spectroman is working, hell yeah!  :-*

Now I'll have to capkit the left monitor in order to fix the screen size/geometry.

Still two issues to fix :

1. (A NEW ONE), the PCB doesn't boot anymore after 5 minutes of play. Cold boot is always ok.... it sounds like a power supply issue... will check the voltages when they are warm...
2. Sounds (except the car engine) is *sometime* missing. Maybe a capkit of the external sound board would fix that? Anyway, it won't hurt...

Great image! Hopefully the booting issue is an easy fix.
All I wanted was a Pepsi!
Currently looking for an original Wonderboy PCB.

Awesome machine! I remember always playing the 3 screen cockpit version of this whenever I went on holiday years ago. Also played TX1 in the same arcade!  :)

You probably know this already, but if you wanted to put in an original chassis on the right hand screen, you can put a Hantarex 900/E straight on the same tube. Likewise, you could change the other two Hantarex 900/E to Polo chassis in the future if you wanted. I repair chassis in the UK every now and again and have many working chassis on the shelf ready to go if ever you need one! :)

Back on this!  :P

I'm now in the mood to work on that one!
So here's the condition of the game 10 months ago :

Still two issues to fix :

1. (A NEW ONE), the PCB doesn't boot anymore after 5 minutes of play. Cold boot is always ok.... it sounds like a power supply issue... will check the voltages when they are warm...
2. Sounds (except the car engine) is *sometime* missing. Maybe a capkit of the external sound board would fix that? Anyway, it won't hurt...

Well, the situation is now worst :

- the game doesn't boot at all!
- the left screen has now sync/parasites issue!

 :-X

As suggested by Fred 'Spectroman' when we came at home few months ago, the left monitor chassis is a waaayyy too dirty... which is probably causing some kind of short circuits? OK, I guess it must be cleaned!
Ok, there it is before the 'bath' :

...and after. Not totally cleaned but a way far better!

Great, no more sync issue for the left monitor :

(I will capkit that chassis because I can't extend the vertical picture size as much as the middle/right monitors)

But... the game still doesn't boot!

Next step, let's check the power supplies! (yeah, there are 2 PS inside that cabinet)

(to continue...)

Oh, before checking the voltages... I also noticed how dirty the game PBCs are... at least the top one!  :-X

See!

Some repairs done in the past obviously

Anyway, here it is after the bath :

Yeah, the game is back!  :-*

...but still some sounds missing... ok... next step... check the voltages (finally!) and all the component around the 'sound-related' stuff!

(to continue)
