I think i have downloaded it in the past the schematics for the game.
Can you do something with it?

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_GljfKEdEVmYkl3bjctaGluZEE/view?usp=sharing

Thanks a lot  :-*
Well, Im not sure it's the schematic for the Buggy Boy *triple screen* board version, but its a very good start  :)

The "scribbles" on the ICs were done as to "hide" what chips were used for pirates/bootleggers.
Often also the markings were simply sanded off.

Yeps, it make senses.

That extra board as a very old EPROM on it....weird. it says TILT on the label.....even weirder :)
Maybe a credit board ?

yes, I'm guessing that too. I'll follow the wires to have an answer  ;)

Bruno, I don't know if this will be of any help to you, I just noticed that on the arcade boneyard site they are currently breaking up a speed buggy for parts.

Thanks for the link, I'll contact him although it mentions Speed Buggy  :P

OK, also got this NOS Hantarex polo 14" monitor  :)

New vs old :

So let's replace the chassis with the vertical deflection problem (right screen), and now we are here (without any geometry adjustment yet)  :

Yeah, picture looks as great as we can expect from a new monitor  ;) Note that I didn't put the brand new tube so far...

Still the monitor in the middle to fix (the red color is missing)...

Instant boner!
All I wanted was a Pepsi!
Currently looking for an original Wonderboy PCB.

Fantastic!
I would be tempted to swap the middle monitor for the nos one, as thats sort of the most important.

At last :spaceace:.
Ianski : that was my first idea too.

Bruno : you should "capkit" the left monitor too (HTX MTC-900E).

I've received the polo board :

there is a lot of dust

After a shower, I can work on it :

When I've power it, there are sparkles on the strap p133

I look the bottom of the board and I found that the pcb was burn around p133, r167

I've clean this area, and cut a useless track (from net -190V for the Xray protector) :

I've replace a rusty resistor & a leaking cap :

Now there is no more sparkle, but the vertical deflection is still missing.

I've check the TDA1675A :
- power is good 25V (stable)
- verticales pulses arrived at the sync IN

But the oscillator didn't start, there's no ramp at the pin 9, I think that the amplifier was died, I've to found a new one.

I've get one TDA167x from my own  working board, and I replace it :

I've a dirty screen crt 14" (pickup recently), but it doesn't have the good crt socket :

So I've test quickly (less than 30 sec) on my 25" (I know that's bad ;) ), I've strange color order, but my pattern generator has the correct pin order for mtc9xxx, and the blue and red pin are swap on polo

usually, I've this :

There's a lot of glitchs on blue color, I think that a capkit will solve this issue

The other buggy boy monitor, the mtc 900/E, have some broken parts, maybe a shock with BPOST :

I don't have a mtc 900/E to take spare part, can someone send me the power resistor and the B4 coil (linearity coil)?

That is awesome Fred!  :-*

Ok, just found in my "what to do with?/untested parts" area an MTC900E if I ready correctly... Maybe you can use parts from that one? Let me know  ;)

I've made a capkit on this board, but there are still glitches on blue  >:(

I was hoping that the replacement of the 10µF on blue signal will solve this problem.

So I've check the input impedance on all color's pin, all have same.

I get my scope, and I find that the output the first transistor is not stable, and the junction BE is around 2V ???

I replace the BC548 and :

the board can return to it's owner ;)

@bruno : you will have to tune the geometry, synchro and color on your own screen
