Carpet can be a total B*tch...  This is something I'd go ahead and pay an installer to do, one goof and you're screwed!!!  (I've done that, made a bad cut.)

I already put a similar carpet in the first room, so I'm not afraid  ;)

But  ...

...the color I've put on the wall is very strange. Although I applied it few weeks ago, the back part (very rough) of the carpet leaves some bad traces like this

So, I'll have to correct that after applying the carpet

OK, so I'm fixing the carpet on all the surface ...

Remember that carpet is only ONE piece (4 meters per 7.5 meters) and it's a real pain to move/apply it on the surface without doing too many traces on the walls  :ghost: Hopefully, my Dad is helping me on that part  :-*

Done ! Let's quickly & approximately cut the carpet and let it sleep few days

Few days later... it's time to fix it on the floor.

I'll use double side scotch, like I did on the first room. First 'half' of the floor :

Done  :-* ... now the second 'half' of the surface

Done

For this small part, I'll use a *dedicated* glue for carpet

I guess I'll put a metal plate in order to hide and do the junction between the two carpets

 :-*

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....  The Great smell of new carpet!!!  A little note, the smell of new carpet & the adhesive reminds me of when our arcade opened... the smell basically stayed!  I always get a flashback memory of that when I smell new carpet & the adhesive!     Yes..  I'm crazy

i think you should cut the blue carpet in the doorway like the red carpet then get a small rug made with a logo , like a welcome mat but with nunos lair on it or some other words, it would look very cool i think.

I believe I saw this being done by someone on the internet.. A great idea worth looking into!!  (custom floor mats)   There are also people making custom signs out of wood with a laser cutter, just provide your own .bmp images.

thanks for yours nice ideas & your support  :) :-*

Ok, I will hide all the bad scratches on the walls, but I've to be careful... and protect the carpet  :P

Now, let's fix the baseboards (or skirting boards?) :

I'm using plastics parts with an 90° angle to protect the edges of the doorway

Done... I'm very happy of the result  :-*

I have to increase the power of the lamps... because the dark blue color of the walls + carpet 'absorbs' a lot the light. Even with a flash, it looks very dark... but hey  ::) I'll add a lot of neons like I did for the first lair of course  8) :-*

This is it... except the finishing of the windows, it's done for that room. Of course I'll add decorations, neons, ...  ;)  :-* :-* :-* I've also some work to finish in the first room, but I can start to bring some games in the v2  :)
