EPISODE 13: "Slave!"
Starring : Darth NunoIt's time to finalize all the connectivity. Here's the two projectors ...connected! Signals going to them are pure RGB via BNC.

As I said previously, I'll wait to see if they work fine before putting back the blue frames around them, and arrange better the wires.
Ok, let's connect the 2 LD players and the 2 sound amplifiers. With the help of the instruction manual, it should no be too difficult...

I start with the two beautiful Yamaha sound amplifiers, high end model at the time, and sooo vintage nowadays

Let's prepare the LD Player #1

'Man at work'

As far as I remember, none of the 2 LD players were working when I disassembled the GT6 5 years ago. So I use the LD-V800 I got from Bigjeje during this
event. It's a special player... because it was used on an other Galaxian Theater! The one located in Paris, in 'La tĂȘte dans les nuages" game room, the biggest one in Paris at the time. Bigjeje is working there, and he sold me the last GT6 parts left...including that LD player...

I've tested the basic functions on it : power on, eject/play disc on my TV. Seems to work so far, so let's hope the other functions used 'in game' will also work...

OK, all the necessary wires are now connected to the LDP #1

Here's how it works basically :
The LDP #1 does almost all the job!

For the sound, it provides to the AMP #1 the left/right audio signal for the front of the theater, but also it provides to the AMP #2 the left/right audio signal for the rear of the theater. You can see the 4 RCA/cinch connector plugged
For the video, it provides the left 'background' image via the BNC connector.
In addition it also sends a sync signal to the LDP #2
Oh, and of course you can spot the RSC232 connector... from where the LDP got orders from the game!

For the LDP #2, I'll use a player I got during the initial road trip... it's not one of those inside the Theater (supposed non working). It's one from many I got form the operator who can't tell if they were working or no...it's gonna be a surprise then! Now fully connected

As you can see, that LDP #2 does only one thing : received orders from the RS232, got a sync signal for the LPD #1 and display the right 'background' part of the screen. No sound is used from it. Let's call him the
slave!
...a general view....

...before moving all that stuff in their original location!

So here we are... I would say everything is now connected... so ... I guess the next step is plugging on the monster?
Are you ready? No wait ... I prefer having this before, just in case!

Ok, now I'm ready!
