he has had this on offer for weeks now, lowering the starting bid every single time. if i remember correctly, the cockpit started with 999 euros, now it's down to 140 :P. if anyone wants it, i'd wait a little while longer ;). unfortunately, its too far out for me ...
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

What a beautiful cabinet. I have played it in Japan and loved it!

I wouldn't wait to long else it might get dumped. 140 is definitly low for a PP cockpit and the condition looks to be pretty nice.

But we all know the problem with PP....the hardware is a bitch, and if you believe that it's "just a fuse" you will probably be disappointed.

Must say I'm very tempted by this but I really don't have the space for it.....

Must have been the original Namco version though :)

I love this too. I remember I first saw this cab on a TV program (before I saw it in the arcades) and my mouth was WIDE open because of the unbelievable graphics, I just couldn't believe that that was possible, it was SO realistic compared to what we were used to in those days.

I have exactly the same feeling about PP as I have with SW: you HAVE to play it in a cockpit. The upright simply is not half the fun.

Ully......did I _really_ read there that it was too far away from you !?!?!?!?!?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Mmmmmmmmm.......is anyone interested in an upright Power Drift ? (Working !)

how cool would it be to have this next to your star wars cockpit, andré! and you had to walk through the PP cockpit to get to the star wars cab ;D. go for it, andré!!! dump that power drift, it's too modern :P

Ully......did I _really_ read there that it was too far away from you !?!?!?!?!?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

you REALLY read that, but in case you thought you were dreaming: IT'S TOO FAR AWAY FOR ME!!!

honestly, i already have a pole position cockpit waiting in a warehouse for me a mere 50 kilometers away, but there is still a legal dispute going on over some stuff there, so until that is settled, they are not allowed to let go of it - although it has already been paid for (100 euros by the way). when i last turned it on, it was freaking working, but we all know what can happen to games over time, especially when we're talking about pole position!

Yes, it was indeed a namco cabinet, i'll post pictures of the vintage arcade where i played soon.

And Ully is right, you should get it! Power Drift degrades your otherwise impressive collection ;)

can someone (Nuno?) merge this topic into the other Ebay topic. In that way we get a nice big Ebay topic, that can compete  ;D with the Marktplaats topic

Ok,

Bonjour,

Pourriez-vous me dire si la carte (PCB) se trouvant dans la borne est bien celle d'origine (Pole Position) ?

Merci
