Wooooooowww I've never seen an actual HOLE in a chip like that before, that must have been a direct short circuit !

Glad you (well your brother) were able to fix it ! I don't know how your brother did it, but I always cut all the legs as closely to the board as possible and then remove the rest of the pins be soldering and a tin sucker.

It's looking awsome really really really makes me drool..........but I have one minor comment...........those microswitches on the joystick......I'm sorry but they're wrong.....I hear those irritating clicks on the video....I wonder if you could put ponyboys leafs-for-microswitch buttons on it ? I've got a couple here, we can try when I come over to your place ;) We gotta fix a date....I will check with my wife and mail you asap.

Hey Bruno,

I'm not going to tell you what, but there is something about this cab that anoys me. But I promise we will solve it when I'm visiting Nuno's Lair, and I know already you will agree and  be happey with it ;)

No questions....just wait and see ;) (It's noting big, but sometimes the details count :) )

Owuhhmmm....those two postings may have gotten you thinking in the wrong direction a bit, sorry for that.....sure I'll bring those leafs to try them out for the joystick, but that second posting actualy has nothing to do with the joystick  Sorry  :?  :?

Anyway, you'll see what I mean when I get there, but don't expect anything very spectaculair....as mentioned, it's a detail matter :D

Damn stupid mail-man didn't yet bring a thing from the US...... stuff was shipped around the weekend last week....maybe tomorrow !!!!

Also there's an original Galaxian manual on it's way, generously forwarded by Fred from Arcadefever......He said it looked great, and I think I got this one pretty cheap as well....:D

Darth Nuno....what a fantastic job done. I just went throught the entire thread again and it is amazing what you made from a Galaxian cab that others might have dumped !!! What a conversion. Not a cheap one, I know Twobits' price list.....but definitly worh every cent. A big round of applause for you !!!!!

And ready in time for my visit as well ! :) :)

According to Twin Galaxies, Chris Ayra has the record for fastest time to 3,333,360 points with a time of 3:42:04.  Also the author of that book, Ken Uston, was a very interesting guy.  Not only did he write books about video games, but he was a world class blackjack card counter.
