Really cool ! Do we agree that this cab is somewhat like the very first candy ? I mean, you have to sit at it, the screen is tilted towards you (unlike cocktails) and well, at least the P1,2,3,4 buttons are candy color Indeed looks NOS ! Would be cool to play 4-player. Now, get Mario !

Hey, something just crossed my mind: Vs. Super Mario is actually not Vs. at all ! It's just a 2 player games with alternating play ! This sucks IMHO.
It would be much cooler to run a Mario Bros. PCB in that machine. This truly is a cool 2 player game.

How does it actually work technically with the monitors in this machine ? Are the signals simply the same going to both monitors ? If not, it will be hard to run a MB PCB in there while sitting on opposite sides. That would be cool IMHO. Sitting side to side will be a lot more "tight".
Thinking about it, I think it has separate signals for both sides right ? I mean, the players with Vs. Tennis see themselves on from the back on each side right ?

Well I'm gonna check that one of these days when I'll try an attempt at making the JAMMA adapter. Shouldn't be all too hard though, will make it work in the end Keep you posted...Cheers

I have to take back what I said in the other thread, this is a beauty. I mean, it is not a regular classic wooden cab, but it sure is a classic NOS Nintendo cab from the early eighties. Everything looks, and probably is, brand new. A really great catch. I noticed that you have it in your house, I would love to play it the next time that I visit you.
What does the coin counter accept? You are talking about putting Jamma in it, but I suppose that you will do it in such a way without having to change something on the original wiring and electronics, do you? Anything else would be an act of crime.

You're most welcome Erik to have a go at it, when you play it you'll even like it more. I also didn't thought I would like it this much. Of course I won't be tampering with anything of the machine, just a soldered adapter that I can plug in and out, simple and clean As for the coin counter, they both read something with 99999...., this means they aren't even at 000000... Where they start when they go into explotation. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Wow that counter setting IS NOS !
The coin inserts say $0,25, it's a 120VAC machine and it has "US" in the typenumber, this has to be a machine meant for the US market that never reached the US OR it was imported from the US to Europe. So I guess the coin used is US quarters.
Does anyone know where the red tents were actually build ? Japan or US ?
