'EUROCADE 2O14' / Re: >>> Retro Game Experience/Eurocade 2014 <<<
« on: August 19, 2014, 09:11:58 PM »
Flights booked, Hotel Booked, Wife's flight across booked.  Going to be in tatters as I get in to Amsterdam from Saudi at 6am and she gets in around 11am from Edinburgh.  Thinking to nip into 020 for some breakfast just to kill a few hours before she gets in and we head down to Hilversum.

.............and there is still space left in container 6.

Is this still the case Thomas ?  Asking because I have a Joust 2 to come across from the States.  I have been in touch with valentin, but not arranged anything concrete as yet between him or the seller for delivery.  Cab is located in Pennyslvania.

Vacation approved and more importantly wife permission granted.  I just need to fix out flights to get me to there, Glasgow and back to Saudi.  Long way to go to play some games.

Fingers, toes, legs and arms are all crossed at present for this.  It also happens to co-incide with a rather special vote for us Scots the following week, for which I have a rather special bottle of whisky ready to drink.

Stick me down for the VIP party if at all possible - I will let you know ASAP if it is a no-go for me.

Fingers crossed I will make this.  Just need to speak to my supervisor next week when he comes back.  If all goes to plan it is Saudi -Eurocade - Scotland and then back to Saudi 2 weeks later with my family.

You ever had the boys up to Arnem /Oostebruke Andre ?  That is one kick ass parade that they do to remember Operation Market Garden, not to mention the massed pipes and drums   Would dearly love to make it up ther one of these years.

Well, I am back home this weekend (managed to get a cheap flight), Easter weekend I am still not sure about - but I would assume you guys are all doiing family things then, and my family are over for the weekend at the end of the month (Kings Day).  Lets just play things by ear, and if you guys are having a get together AND I am in the Netherlands then happy days.

Looking forward to Koningsdag already - gonna see what Rotterdam's flea markets will turn up for me.  Plan is up early, trawl Schiedam then into the big city.

Danke veld for the chat, the beers and the games Andre.  Really was nice to meet up again - last time was eurocade 2012.  You leave me feeling slightly guilty at the state of my garage at tresent though.  Me thinks I need to at least get some cabs working next time I go home.

Dunno about anyone else, but I feel that their prices are really starting to be way above what they should be - around a 50-100% increaso on what they were a yea4 ago.

And did you get to see the "Q-Bert" houses ?  They look really cool, just down by Rotterdam Blaak station IIRC.
