Wow, that's super cool! You blew up my video! :D

Someone left a comment today on one of my videos saying to type 1-9-8-0 and I didn't know what they were talking about! Now I do!

It's you john :D

I assure you it's not!

So, is this book any good? Worth the purchase?

Oh the sound of silence...

I just got off the phone with the shipping company. I was speaking to the guy who cancelled the shipment yesterday. I asked if the police called them and told them not to ship. He said that it wasnt the police, that they rather got informed by someone that an investigation against the sender was going on. The informant also provided contact details of the officer working on the case. The shipping comany spoke to the police officer and did decide not to take the risc and cancel the shipment.

I was this shipping companies customer till yesterday due to this shipping company being the long time partner of Coinopwarehouse.

All other news regarding this will be communicated via PM and Mail to the people involved. We are now going into stealth mode! There is an informer!

PS: I am soooo not kidding.

An informer?! What's happening! :)

Been thinking of selling/trading my moon patrol for a while now, i just don't enjoy the game play that much.

But when i see a picture like this, i'm a bit afraid i'm going to regret it... What a beautiful cab, the art is easily top 10 material imo!

Who's the new owner?

I don't know who got it. Thomas arranged everything, I dealt with him directly.

it was offered to me but i said no... don't know why though and i felt bad right after that.
thank god bruno came to my rescue and sold me his amazing mp.

but wait a minute john... you do not have a moon partol in your basement now? how could you give this cab away? :)

No, I don't have it anymore, it's now in Europe. :D I needed to make room for Major Havoc. :D

Not asking for much am I? Hehe

I have an original Falcon pcb ( and a couple of clones). Here in Derby, England and most of the 80s arcades I used to play had Crazy Kong  and only played Donkey a few times.
I have just a couple of cabs at the moment and swap my games around.. Kong, Mr Do! Etc but I want to make a cab dedicated to my Crazy Kong pcb... I would love to make it into a Crazy Kong but I see more DK parts on eBay USA... Does any one have marquee, Bezel & CP or part of these that I could buy??

thanks so much Mike K

You guys really are inspiring with your dedication to keeping the old games alive, I don't post often but stop by most days. I'm 43 so perfect age for all this.

I have a complete DK control panel I might be willing to let go. It has an eight ball action CPO but it's all there. Not sure if shipping from the USA would make it all that feasible for you.

Did anyone here get my Moon Patrol?

was this the one with the high score save kit?

Yes, it has the high score save kit (might have my initials "JON" on it, not sure my friends beat my scores all the time!) and it's one of the nicest all original Moon Patrol's I have ever seen! Whoever got it, got a NICE Moon Patrol!

What a piece of garbage!!! LOL! :)

Thanks for the welcome, guys! I'm glad to be here. It's nice getting a fresh perspective on the hobby!

Yeah, capkits are not that expensive so thats probably the most easy way

You dont happen to have a ESR meter ? then you can check the caps before you shotgun the chassis with new caps

My fluke DMM can test capacitance. I never use that feature though. :)

Nor should you, it's worthless. It won't indicate the thing that makes caps bad: a high ESR (serial resistance). You need a specialized ESR meter to check this correctly.

I have no experience with BW monitors apart from vectors.

Oh, and do a thorough cleaning of the area around the exploded cap. The electrolytic stuff inside eats away everything !!!

I have the Russian ESR meter which has the most value to your dollar IMHO. It has been great ever since I got it and is easily my favourite tool in the hobby.

Have a look here for more info:
https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=3051.0

and a direct link to Mike's ESR meter for just 75 bucks shipped world-wide:
http://www.radiodevices.info/zakaz_e.php

Mike also responds to e-mails himself and quickly, I prefer that over having to deal with a "large business".

Wow, $75.00 for that ESR meter? I never really considered getting one as I usually just shotgun the entire board when doing cap kits. But, I guess it would be ideal for troubleshooting. It works well? Do you need to remove the cap to test it?

And, nice video.... "HEY GUYS!!!" :)

I think it would be really fun to see you guys unloading the conatiners in Berlin. Maybe some day I can visit. :D
Hey John,

You might like this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n-ycJjb7PM

That was great! Wow, lots of games, lots of Nintendos! :) The US and Japanese cabinets aren't that much different, it's mainly the wood they used. The US cabinets are garbage, I hate the particle board. The plywood Japanese cabinets are best! :)

Loved that Journey and that VEGA game. What is VEGA? Looked neat!

Great news! So, where can we pick up the games? Bremerhaven or Berlin??

That would be Berlin, because "Ish bin Ian Berliner" :)

Thomas, you have been to my house to pick up the Moon Patrol in the rain. :D

That was YOU??????? Hyper lol!!!

You didnt show me the basement though. But I wouldnt have had the nerve to look at anything anyway. My truck broke down right after that. Trip was even more fun from there on 😉

Yeah, that was me. :) You also sent Eddie to pick up the Discs of Tron.

I would have shown you the basement but you came way too late! :) I had a friend over and we were recording music when you came. Too bad you didn't come earlier!

So, maybe next time! Sorry to hear your truck broke down. That thing was loud! :D

Did anyone here get my Moon Patrol?

I totally agree with you but I did do it ONE TIME. And, I felt guilty about. However, I thought it turned out cool. I was being cheap and used some extra t-molding I had and stuck it on. But, I still feel guilty. But, it's easily reversible!
