what i would do is ask the seller for a refund, if he doesn't reply or tells you to get lost leave a negative feedback. i h-a-t-e people who are trying to earn some serious extra money through ridiculous p&p prices!

It's wrong, yes - but leaving negative feedback for something that was stated before the purcase was made would be wrong.

One could contact the seller and negotiate a more reasonable shipping price before the auction ends. If that's not possible, I just pass on bidding on such auctions.

When working with IT, you get a lot of opportunities to take home hardware of varying age and value.

I myself try to hold back, but sometimes things are just to useful to just throw out. I need more space though :)

Barry let me know he won't be able to make it this year regretfully, so he's off the list.

Now I only need to hear something from Reinhold. Any of the German members an idea ? Maybe one of the German forums ?

Reinhold is Danish afaik.

I've learned to appreciate the woodgrain when I still had my ( :'( ) MC cabaret. You know, it fits so well to the timeframe and the US taste (in those days). Whenever (if ever) I watch an old 80's series like Knight Rider or the A-team, the offices are fool of (fake) wood"grain" offices and furniture. Is it ugly ?

 ;D ;D

On another note.. +1 for woodgrain.

Possible trade with Neo Geo games, if that could be of any interrest.

Sega threw some relatively rare PCBs out there. I also have a Sega Suntory Tapper board. Not to many of those either  :)

Well Mikes's site is usually a reliable source. You can always check for the +5 and GND pins by measuring cotinuity between the mentioned edge pin numbers and a IC that you know where +5V and GND should be...

Good idea. I will look into that when I get home and hopefully get it running tonight and see what awaits me.

Looks a whole lot like the pictures I can find around on the internet, so I'm very excitet to get it running.

Funny thing is that KLOV states that Sega denies ever having produced this board. Very interresting indeed.

I recently found a Sega Tapper board, which possibly is one of the relatively rare Suntory boards.

To see if this boards is running and what it in fact is running, I will have to make me a JAMMA adapter for det Sega board.

The very scarce information about the pinout is summed down to one single source:

http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/spies.cgi?action=url&type=pinout&page=SuntoryTapper.txt

Just to make sure, I wanted to hear if any of you have any experience with Sega Tapper boards og Sega boards in general - so I don't f**k something up.

Highres picture of the board in question:

There isn't a lot of info on the board, when searching the www - so I hope to get it running so I can conclude if it indeed is the Suntory Tapper or what it is.
