You need at least one original Space Invaders in that listing though... just invite me next time and I'll bring one or two along  ;)

Van is organised for Friday.  One slight problem of a SW cockpit non worker that my wife does not know about (yet) to collect from Edinburgh when I pick up IDchappy's and Cosines  candies before grabbing my 4 Defender, Stargate, Roby and Centipede and making the drive down to Manchester.

Not at all mate, I stuck a bid in on it on ebay months ago (same guy I got the upright from), never dreaming I would win the auction.  Only now getting round to picking it up due to our schedules meaning we both seemed to be at different ends of the planet at the same time for the last 4 months.  Still need a 26" amp to go with it though.  She does not know about 2 williams cocktails and the other 2 cabs from the US either that I have bought either.

On the plus side, Defender, Stargate, Robotron & Centipede have all been play tested (briefly) tonight.  Sound was gone on Defender - mis-aligned plug on sound board.  New batteries fitted also as the existing ones were done.  Really looking forward to next years exhibition circuit so I can add Joust and Sinistar to the lineup, as well as a couple of williams cocktails.

What a great weekend! Everything went smoothly and there were a crazy amount of visitors to the arcade. We Ended up with 112 cabs, and through the course of the weekend only lost 8 which is pretty good as you guys know  :)

The hall was absolutely huge. Next to the arcade was the pinball section where they managed even more pinballs than we had cabs  :o

I'll add some pictures now  8)

Here is how the arcade looked just before the doors opened.

Pictures from Saturday.

Nintendo Stand.

This is chuckie_egg - all the nintendo cabs were his except the Space Firebird cocktail. What a collection! Nintendo lent us the palm trees, barrels and bananas  :spaceace:

We had 3 of the Chase HQ series cabs together.

More pictures from Saturday.

My Star Wars only lasted the first 2 hours of the day, unfortunately the small gear in the yoke snapped so it lost up & down movement. Luckily a spare was brought along and so we were able to look at it at the end of the day.

The Arcade Otaku candy cab section.

The Oculus VR queue was an hour long all day and I sadly didn't get to try it out, but I heard some great reports about it being an amazing experience.

These next 2 pics of the consoles area give a pretty good idea of how big the show really is. These areas are next to the pinballs which then leads to the arcade. To walk from one end to the other took ages!

Pictures from Sunday.

First task of the day was getting Star Wars working - and it just about did for the day, not what you'd call accurate as the crosshair was very jerky, but I don't think people who hadn't played it since the 80's really noticed.

The main hall lights were off for Sunday so the whole arcade looked much better.

We set up a large stage and projector in the middle of the arcade area. On here we had the Missile Command world record holder Tony Temple and UK Pac-Man champion Jon Stoodley playing on their cabs going for high scores. No big games unfortunately but it was great to watch them play.

The line of people waiting to play Star Wars   :o

This was my mini Ghouls n' Ghosts cab being played by forum member Ex_Mosquito. He played through the entire game 3 times!
