WTB: Large Arcade Machines (Cockpits, Sit-Down, DX etc.)
« on: November 22, 2012, 05:27:36 PM »
Hi folks,

hence space is not a problem for me - I'm always interested to get some dedicated "larger" cabs - e.g. I would love to have a Space Harrier Sit-Down, Afterburner Sit Down, G-Loc, Out Run Motorcycle or anything else of that size.

These would be great add-ons for my retro-spective gaming exhibition held once a year. And of course to my upcoming game room.

Feel free to offer any machine. Thanks.

check the Marktplaats topic once in a while. In the Netherlands there seem to be some large arcade machines for sale every now and then, but not many Dutch people buy them because of space etc.

Ully : lol -> you don't have anything like 100 cabs !

cebulba : great choice -> the Sega DLX cabs are the best experience in arcade gaming (I've got one!).

having a huge storage space doesn't necessarily mean having a huge game room - unfortunately! :'(

btw, 100 cabs is way too much, i have probably only half of that!!!

Did you buy the After Burner DX on MP?
Looking for a container. Doesn't matter if full or empty. Doesn't matter if working or complete ... And all things Exidy!

we got a very large house, yes. Space is not the problem, but money every now and then ;-)

Haven't seen the Afterburner DLX - that would have been nice to add ;)

Racing machines seems not to be a problem to get these - but I already have too many Racer Arcades.
I would go for a Pole Position cabinet of course  - who bought the last one on marktplaats? ;-)

keep me updated if someone wants to get away with a machine. Needs to be in working condition - don't need to be in perfect cosmetic appearance.

That Prop Cycle was also available at the "AssXXXX Warehouse" in Rotterdam. Nice machine, but more for kids...

Got a Sega Hang On DX motorcycle....and today I will get a Hydrive by Midway Sit Down cab.

I have been offered an Afterburner DLX (still tempting to buy this monster),some other SEGA ones, a Mad Dog McGee (sorry italiandoh - that's a different member) and quite a lot of racing games :-)

I'm most after unique cockpits (StarWars classic anyone? *g*) - and / or different games, i.e. I'm not going to buy 5 different racers (although 4-6 Daytonas seems interesting...).

Although space is not a big problem does not mean I don't need to fill it with good games and cabs ;-)
and of course I cannot afford so many games I need to "choose wisely".

While the SEGA machines rock every gameroom - the mechanics are quite challenging once broken. And for me not being a technician at all - I rather leave these.
