Space Invaders Issue
« on: July 31, 2012, 11:33:50 AM »
Hi All

I'm new in this forum: I'be bought a Space Invaders and I need your help for solving an issue.

Game switches on correctly but If I try to load credit (touching directly metal lever on the coin meter), but it doesn't work.
I checked with my DMM the voltage of the two wires (measured between each wire and ground) connected to the coin switch: 0V (DC).

How is the correct voltage I have to see here?
I have electric diagram of CPU board, but I don't see "TP"s (check point) voltage, and also supply voltage on CPU board connectors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Like Erik said, check the wiring. Switch your multimeter to OHM, it should say 0 (zero).

Oh, it's OK when you don't have no voltage there....coin inputs (and other controls like buttons and sticks) are switched to GND, when pressed :)

Did you get the cab with this bug or did it work and that bug occured just now?

Thanks first for your fast reply!

Yes, I get the cab with this bug.

Thanks a lot!

You should measure, relative to the signal ground, 5V when the switch of the coin door is open, 0V when closed  ;)

Frederico, you forgot to inform us that you have a Zacc The Invaders. :D
That is completely different from the Midway bootleg. ;D
I have the same problem when I got my mine, I think I know what to do in this case, please send us a pic from the pcb CONNECTED to your cab, I think you plugged the connectors in the wrong way. ;)

I guess it was a bootleg, there are absolutely no Zaccaria signs inside or on the artworks. :P

Unfortunately the game does not work yet, yesterday I made many tests and I was able to run the credits, now seems to not load the game,  it seems that the bottom of the screen there is a line of color green must be completed to the end before you start the game sometimes does not load sometimes loads very slowly.....
