In a cockpit there should be no reason for it to get broken - unlike the uprights it's not really exposed - in another picture it looks like the missing bottom bracket and the screws are in the back of the cabinet so it just needs the control panel and bracket putting back on. I suspect the most secure place for the glass would be properly fitted in the cab in this case...
Notice how this glass is different from the Buck Rogers glass? The art is different and allows the monitor to be rotated.

BTW, the shipping I've requested is for whole shipping so if the cab is soundly assembled I'm hoping it can be moved whole.
