Somebody stole my ebay pic for KLOV
« on: May 25, 2011, 10:50:33 AM »
I've listed a Moguchan pcb to ebay a few months ago and I made a pic from the game in my own jamma cabinet, just to show, that the game is working.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250648504837&ssPageName=STRK:MEUSX:IT
Yesterday I checked this game on KLOV and I realized, that a guy called Michael Trier sent my pic there and they use it as a reference.
http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8730
It really pissed me off, because I've sent tons of pics from my rare cabinets and pinballs there, but none of them were used by these idiots, only this stolen pic.

Wait a minute, first I don't see (a link to ) the picture of the PCB, second, Michael, are you saying that you submitted a picture AND IT WAS ACTUALLY USED on KLOV ?????

Now that's the first time I hear that happening !!!

I stopped posting pics a LONG time ago because of 0 response....

I would love to see a database of videogames that is run in a Wiki style so that everybody manages it.

Me too, i think it can be done, but, i also think you would have to have some sort of "policemen" to verify various changes...
those police men could be 10-30 hardcore arcade phreaks!...

Well guy's i was in a customer last week who asked me to take a look at some Wiki software,

I found this :

http://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki

The install was simple since it was also available "pre-installed" as a VMware Machine..  :P

I don't know if there is a need for a Wiki here, but it would come in handy sometime.

I dont know if there is some kind of Wiki software that could integrate with SMF (the forum software used here) ?

EDIT:

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SMF_Auth_Integration can integrate with SMF..

BRUNOOOOOOO  ;D ;D ;D ::)

Mmmm, I wish Bento had a way to push a database in the cloud and have shared admins on it.

Wiki(like) looks so old-fashioned and not really (overzichtelijk, what's that in English?)

I said Wiki mainly because of the idea behind it that it's moderated by "everybody" (to a certain extend).

That's the weak point of KLOV, it is too much depending on one guy (or a couple ?)

Instead of complaining about KLOV not updating sites etc., why don't you actually help getting it done (lots of KLOV members on DLF): http://www.arcade-museum.com/members/vote.php

To start: never even knew that this existed... but also: this is not about sending in additional pictures for already listed cabs, that's what we're complaining about.
