IMHO there's not much to prepare:

Must have:
hotel near the place
restaurant near the place or delivery service (asian/italian/etc)
some chairs/tables AT the place to sit down, talk and drink
decent music

Nice to have:
a few games running



Kidding aside: to ME Eurocade is more meeting the people, talking, having beer and fun. Playing is nice but no must-have!

PARTY TIME!!!

we've been invited to a party hosted by dirk and thorsten in their "arcade wonderland". the reason for that description is very simple: a gazillion fantastic video games (and so much more) make their location a mekka for retro fans. but that's only a part of the experience: nice people, yummy food and drinks, atmospheric music and so much attention to detail. but why don't you judge for yourself?

p.s.: because of the length of the original video i have decided to present this episode in two parts!

i think The Driver is a fantastic game, not just because of the technical aspect. it's also a lot of fun and makes you give it a try ONE MORE TIME ...

definitely need to make a video of it the next time - hope it's still there then!

That would be awesome  . I had to idea to propose my location for one year to host the event. But I'm a way too short to prepare the game room & organize all the stuff for this year Im afraid...

are you SURE it can't be done? would be a blast to have a EC at your place. and i'm pretty sure there are quite a few people out there willing to help / support you ...

here's the second (and final) part of my visit to the arcade wonderland of dirk and thorsten!

in this episode thorsten is giving us an in-depth look at the gameplay of JOURNEY, his favorite arcade machine. furthermore we are going to "playtest" a few other games PLUS we are travelling back in time for a "musical review" of the 1970s which could be kind of strange for some viewers. don't tell me you hadn't been warned afterwards ...

Well, I have to admit that I only have it because Journey is my favourite band    The gameplay is terrible and so is the music....they would have deserved something better (technically it would have been possible). And the cab looks amazing IMHO

glad that you liked them, videos like that also depend on the people participating. without you guys willing to play or talk crap in front of the camera it would be quite boring. also still not giving up hope for a eurocade this year ...
