That office corner is a great idea, don't forget to leave some space for a fridge. ;D
You live in a beautiful place. ;)

Of course, to make it authentic, you have to tape badly printed pics of sexy arcade babes on the wall of your office  ::)

Again a small update  ;D

Yesterday I finished all the woodwork in the gameroom.  :D  So, now it's time for the plastering of the ceiling and the walls, a job which I don't like to do at all (I think that it's a horror to get everything nice and smooth), so a professional will take care of this. All walls and the ceiling will be done with 'spachtelputz', something like this: http://www.alco-stucspuitwerk.nl/spachtelputz.htm  And with a bit of luck this will be finished next week.

It will make the walls very strong, and easy to give them a color (or more colors) afterwards. I still don't know which color(s), but I like the seventies style of this (the orange color in particular)  :)

But is you guys have better suggestions about colors or other decoration possibilities, then please spill it. For the floor I'm thinking about 'kliklaminaat', in black or another dark color. I'm not sure yet, though.

Anyway, here are some dull pics of how it is now:

In my mind I already have a picture of where to put which games, and the corner where the toolbox is will be the Japanese corner, with some great candy's, Japanese arcade art etc.  :D

looking really nice, eric! orange is of course THE 70s color and if you decide to add some furniture, there's a lot of space age stuff from the 70s out there. i'm a huge fan of that era / design!
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Nice....about colors.....what I noticed in my gameroom: the side that I did in blue (well purplish blue) totally covered in only two layers. The red side though I did four layers and I could STILL see the background a bit....but don't worry, you'll never notice once the games are in place ;)

Good progress !!!

Orange all the way! It's almost the same one I've used for my game room v1.0

That color looks great in 'daylight environment' but also in 'the dark', which is not the case for all the colors.

If you want to go all seventies, it's orange, yellow and brown.

You could put a small booth window on that corner office with a "Change" sign over it for the full effect.

Haha, great idea. ;)
Even just a sticker with a booth window on it so you don't have to actually cut a window in there.
Very "gameroomesque".

Another awesome read, so jealous as is 3 times the size of mine, but then that would leave me room for 3 times the amount of projects  :o

Your location is fantastic, can't wait to see this one finished and full of loveliness, great job so far Erik

Maybe opposing walls in one colour remaining 2 in another for some contrast. Not a great fan of single colour walls  :)

This is a great thread. I just went from the first post to the last.

Very interesting to see the different designs of sheds around the place.

Here in Australia the typical shed is constructed from steel frame and sheet metal cladding. Like this:

I always enjoy seeing the little details that make a gamesroom a gamesroom, all the little personal touches.

Well done.
