Just got confirmation that the bootleg boards don't do the samples, so no screaming coily and no cursing Q*bert.

Man, without those sounds, it's only half the fun !

Sure hope that multi-board will be ready soon, that would give the 100% feel, look _and_ sounds plus the knocker support can't be missed ! Cheesy

Believe it or not but I've got a 100% Q*bert knocker here. Ordered it because I was planning to add it to my Mame cab. Never got to installing it. It guess it's a regular pinball knocker. I could find the exact model nr. if needed.

So, it can always be retro-fitted. The only "problem" is that the knocker will probably need a little separate circuit plus a power supply that gives out enough power to trigger it. I bet Jrok already thought about that and it wouldn't surprise me if he would include this. Probably not on the board but maybe separate.

Once again, thanks for all of you for your nice comments but also your interest  Kiss

Few answers (sorry for the delay  oppps)

.. how do you manage to keep quiret this long??? - 3 month´s!!!
When i buy something i really want, i can´t keep it a secret that long!!

I'm so busy... but for such road trip, I prefer to wait until I have the time for writing a nice story... especially this one... a uncommon road trip regarding the distance for an uncommon cabinet (Hey... it's Q*Bert here Tongue).
But stay tune, I've other road trips, meetings, and other Arcade Life Style stories 'unpublished' to come  Roll Eyes ... so stay tuned  Cool

Did you pick-up that SI CPO ? I need one....
O, and if you plan on letting go one of those Q*bert CPO's......I'm game. I bet I'll never find one, so there's a distant plan to build a repro.....so I could really use it Wink

No, I didn't pick the metal SI CPO, because it's was not in good condition, or at least worst than mine (I'm also looking for a good one).
For the Q*Bert CPO, I'll need only one of course. I'll let you contact you after the restoration  Wink

Bruno, the cab is in good hands and in a great place so I'm really happy you got it ! (Plus that it's an extra reason to come and visit you again soon Wink Wink Wink ).

You're more than welcome André, as always  Kiss

Yes, I agree.

I first meet him in the Exhibition / Pinball Collector - PARIS (see the report here).

Already fan of rabbit  Wink  arrow

I'll check that, but I don't think so...

Great looking cabinet. Love the Q*Bert Pinballs! I've never played one and would love to. I'm like you with food.. I'll drive hours to get special food. I think my farthest trip was 2.5 hours one way to get special pizza. Although, if I had the money and space I'd be buying arcades as well.

Love the pics. I once took an 8 hour drive in one day. That was pretty crazy! I don't know what got me in the idea to go to a theme park that is a 4 hour drive one way, stay the day, then drive 4 hours back home. I was going to fall asleep on the way home, so I had to pull over and have my Girlfriend drive.

Was a nice theme park though. Had kind of a "home like" comfort about it since it's nestled in the woods.
