Looks awesome in your gamesroom Bruno! Forgive my ignorance, but what is it? Is it like a pinball machine?

Yes namfreak, it's a mix between a pinball & a slot machine.

Here's a good description :

The pinball-like game of Pachinko is extremely popular in Japan and can be found in many American casinos. The term Pachinko is derived from the Japanese word pachi-pachi, meaning the clicking of small objects or the crackling of fire

Pachinko is similar to pinball in that small 11mm steel balls are shot onto the playing surface where they haphazardly bounce around and through a network of nails. The object of the game is to have the balls directed into winning pockets, whereby you receive more balls that equate to a prize or a monetary amount. The pachinko player is only responsible for controlling the speed by which the pachinko balls are shot onto the playing surface, from then on it basically becomes a game of chance

As a 'die hard' Star Wars fan, and arcade game lover, I could not resist  8)  8)  8)

I'll post a video, so you'll really understand the thing   :D

Well, the pachinko machine is made to be in japanese parlor... so it's not easy to display it on a table or something  :?  That's also the reason why you can show all the pachinko electronics components on the back of it.

An easy solution is to fix a wooden base. That's what I'm doing :

The pachino's importators provide these pieces with the machine :

...I need to paint it, in order to fit a small black table I'll use

...    Done  :)

OK, so just put the game on side ...

... and fix 3 screws per wooden piece... and voilĂ  :

It perfecly match the color table  :o

Now, the photo gallery  :P  :P  :P

That's a great machine, and also a great coincidence. Today I bought a Japanese Candy Cab at someone and I noticed a Star Wars Pachinko Machine standing there. Not the same as yours though, this one had 3 rd-2d's at the bottom of the LCD screen, like this exact the same one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55uUeLAHlU0&feature=related

Just a few minutes ago I googled a bit and found this ..... Dragonslairfans topic. Bruno, you are everywhere.  ;)

The seller just got the machine in and he still has to check the operation of it, but he gave me first option to buy it as soon as it is ready  ;D. I played a bit with it and the light and sound effects are awesome. I only need to learn how to play it, but Youtube is your friend.

Next on the list is a Star Wars cockpit arcade game. Anyone?

LOL  ;D

Well I sold it long time ago... because it wasn't really fun to play  Sure, the Star Wars theme rocks... but I think this toy was a little bit expensive... just for display purpose. I would prefer to buy the Star Wars pachislot, not the pachinko... more easy and fun to play  8)

I discovered this topic only now  :P

I played this pachinko in Tokyo some year ago

Basicaly it is frustrating if you're not able to play it (it required some skill like palying at flippers)

This is for all the pachinko, not only the star wars pachi (abbreviation  ;)

Only for hard core fans I may suggest

I loved the arcade pod racer at the point ot master it and record myself with my lap record on the sega website (almost 10 years ago  :P wow, how time passes fast)

I remember playing the pod racer deluxe game on the ferry when I was on my last year school trip to the UK. We played that game all the way from Calais to Dover ;D. It's 9 years ago for me now ;D.
