Hey Ully, did this project ever come to an end?

unfortunately not yet. i took out the stuff during the christmas holidays and tried to figure out the horizontal monitor mount, but got distracted by something (or better: somebody) else then. i'm going through a possibly lifechanging phase at the moment and have no idea where / how this is going to end, therefore i only have extremely limited time for the hobby at the moment ...
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

Ok, thanks for the reply Ully. I hope you will be able to sort out the things in your life for the best. There are more important things out there than the hobby.

The reason I asked is that I might have something incoming, and if it works out I plan to shamelessly imitate your project. ;) I am particularly curious about how you plan to solve the horisontal monitor mounting you mention.

Mmmm........

Ully, there is not a single game or any other physical thing that can possibly more important than, as I presume, love.

But I sincerely hope you can have both !

i solved the horizontal monitor mounting with some wood-works.

i rebuilt the wooden plate of the original vertical monitor mounting and cut a horizontal hole in it.

pic1: Original

pic2: the New one.

Nice, Jochen! Was there a lot of routing involved? It is sort of hard to tell from the pictures. I fucking hate routers. :evil:

most of the woodwork i did with a skill saw.

the only routing involved was the 2mm depth 2cm wide frame on top to insert the black plastic bezel for the monitor.

the black plastic bezel must be inserted because the graphic-bezel is lying straight on top the wood.

i made it a bit deeper than 2mm so i could add a dark tinted plexi.

Great, thanks for the description. Does this mean that you have taken over Ully's project, or is this for another cab?

Hi,

as some of you already know, i took on Ully's Bubble Bobble project.

i just want to show an update of the super nice Bubble Bobble Project and Ully's Perfect work.

i still need to:

-> get 2nd stick for the CP and move the very right button 2 cm up.
-> design a CPO
-> design a Bezel
-> T-molding

I built the Parts together, and this is how it looks like:
