Visiting TBM: not yet ZAC OFF LIMITS and other stuff
« on: July 04, 2016, 04:44:17 PM »
Hi There,
I visited the factory where OFF LIMITS had been designed.
I have in my hands the original projects :)

the "big" masters will be restored (by me) and donated to TILT.IT association and if I can I'll hang up in my living room the 1:1 version...

The company is TBM (as mentioned in the thread https://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=6225.0)

on the 1st floor I found JAMMA cabs and slot machines because in the last years of activity those were the only things played.
On the 2nd floor: OFF LIMITS design, tons of PCBs, never used "SUPER OFF LIMITS" marquees (a new version of OFF LIMITS never produced or produced in very small quantities)

I started to test and troubleshoot some boards.
Zac boards first :)

I think "BILIARDO" is video hustler. I didn't test it yet.

 :o

..the pics tell more about an abandoned house than a old Electronic Company Headquarter...

..It's a pity that the bigs Italian arcade factory (ZZZ, Model Racing..) have preserved nothing like this small T.B.M. have done..

...Great found!

Actually looking at the "BILIARDO" PCB I can see dip switches are not in the same position than the (HUSTLER) board shown on the Paul's page (http://www.zzzaccaria.com/images/Projects/HustlerRestoration/DSCN3954.JPG).
I'm looking forward the ISO9001 inspector I've here today closes the 1st audit so I can go at home to plug it :)

your "BILIARDO" PCB looks like a standard konami-pinout with a soundboard from scramble

http://www.zzzaccaria.com/images/PCBs/Scramble.jpg

the hustler pcb looks seems to be a konami pinout as well and like a frogger pcb

http://gamesdbase.com/Media/SYSTEM/Arcade/PCB/big/Frogger_-_1981_-_Konami.jpg
there is too much butter on those trays
