Wanted: SegaSonic Arcade pcb
« on: January 19, 2009, 08:17:43 PM »
Hi everyone,

Maybe the Japanese members on this board can help me. I've been desperately looking for the SegaSonic Arcade pcb for years now. I know it's a very rare game, and being released only in Japan makes it even harder to track down...
If anyone can help me find this pcb please let me know  ;) :-*

Greetings,
Kevin

No, I don't have the game, I've never seen the actual game (cab),

but I did try to get the PCB a few years ago and was outbid  :-\

Hi kevin,

I've been working in Sega at Ohta (Tokyo)

where do you  live?

Basically it is not a problem to get it in Japan,

but send it to you safely..

That's what I'm most worried about..

I'm also from Belgium like DarthNuno. I would happily pay extra for insurance if you could find the pcb.

I've never seen the cab either, the only picture I found is the one on this page: http://www.dcshooters.co.uk/sonic/arcade/segasonicarcade/segasonicarcade.php
But this cabinet looks like a Sega Astro City, so I don't think it's a dedicated one. Maybe Maverick has a picture?

Hi, anthony the cab is not an astro city (that came out later)

the cab is an "aero" city, here is a legenda of all the sega cabs type

http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=843&page=1#2823

I've got 2 of them and still waiting to receive a fat astro city next month

The dedicated cab I think it is too expensive to get in japan, do you?

Can you spend? Consider that it is from Japan not from Europe.. Let me know

Find the single pcb i thinkk it would be the less expensive solution, but the last word it is always at the buyer's chioce

Hi kevin,

read the pm

I don't know if it arrived to you so I reply here the answer:

$250 for the mb + the control panel?

Sincerly as arcade collector I think today it is not even enough to buy then sole mb in "A condition" standard

I think kevin you should reflect (by yourself) on how much you should be aware of what it will cost to you the whole operation (buy from shop in Japan, shipping from japan to belgium, pay the 20% for custom taxes included)

Passion is a good thing, economy most of the times, as we know, it is different

Consider well the operation..

This game was in the arcades here in the UK.

I remember playing it at a Segaworld in Bournemouth in the early 1990's.

I've got some problems in reply pm's with my web broser so I copy right here the answer:

Kevin wrote:

>Maybe you're right, I better try running the game in MAME. Altough is it possible to find the trackball control panel for Aero City cab? The trackballs and buttons don't necessary have to be included, for MAME I can put in USB trackballs. I found an Aero City not far from my house, but it has joysticks.

Thank you for your warning about the high price.

Greetings,

Hi kevin,

no problem my duty since we're all collectors and we all have the same problems

>Altough is it possible to find the trackball control panel for Aero City cab?

to be true I never checked, quite for sure there will be

Next 16 march I'll check soon as I'm there, then I'll let you know when I'm back
