Following this road trip...

It's time to give a second life to this Ms. Pac Man cabinet

As you can see, I've got all the parts I need, except the electronic parts :

This renovation should not be difficult, but it'll require some work...
OK, so let's check the cab' itself.
Its identity ?

Yeah... it's a real Ms. Pac Man

Serial number is 36600.
The left side will require some repair on the top and few other places... (bondo)

The right side is in better condition :

Both side will require some painting restoration.

The front is fine, but it'll need painting correction too...
OK, now this is the funny part

I need the *exact* paint in order to touch up the sides.
Because this cab is empty, it's the perfect time to...

...bring it up to my usual paint shop, in order to scan the colors used on the Ms. Pac Man cabinet

Look the kids on the right of the picture

 Attracted by the cab

Ok... show time !

At the entrance of the shop, I'll looking for a security guard, or someone from the shop... in order to explain him that it's just an other 'ArcadeLifeStlye' action I'm planning to do blablabla...

No one

Ok, so let's go directly to the Mixing colors machine

The employee recognize me

I use to come here for scanning the colors of small parts, but this is the first time I'm coming with a full size cab' of course

He's very amused... and recognize the 'thing'

Here's the colors scanner :

There are 4 colors used on a Ms. Pac Man : Yellow, Blue, Pink and Black. I'll scan them all, except the black.

Done

Time to go home ... but let's do some other 'ArcadeLifeStyle' pictures

A lot of costumers are very amused by this... some of them recognize the game... I hear a lot of 'wakka wakka' around me

Now the best part

 At the cash desk ...
The cashier, a young girl, see the cabinet. I'm saying "I guess the bar code is somewhere on the back"

..and she's now looking for the code bar

After 1 minute, she says : "... I don't find its bar code

I've never seen such item before in that shop... and mister... it looks already used ... why did you buy this ?..."
I say : "Yeah, I know... but this is the last one on that shop... I'm ok to buy it like that... Oh, and I'm sure there is a bar code somewhere, please check again

..."

...and once again, she's turning around the cabinet in order to find the bar code / price of the cabinet

It was amazing !!! Jesus Christ, too bad I didn't film that scene

One minute later... she saw me laughing like a madman ... and I finally explain her what that 'thing' is

She was finally very amused too

Ok, time to go back at home

But a last 'Western Style' picture

This cab will go in the ...hum hum ... workshop, located in the first floor in my house

And this is it... I got the right colors for this Ms. Pac Man

OK, I think I deserve three 'Space Ace' for that , don't ya think ?
