Converted Arcade Machine Help
« on: July 13, 2014, 05:06:00 PM »
A couple years ago, I got a WarGods cabinet which had been converted to a multiboard. It is wired to JAMMA (6-button), and currently holds a flat-panel VGA widescreen monitor (sadly) and a 14-in-1 multiboard. I really have wanted to do something with it (it doesn't even have a bezel) but I don't want to have to pay for a new monitor/convert it to use a CRT again.
Any recommendations?

It was more recommendations game-wise...

I was thinking along the lines of a HyperSpin PC, or possibly Mortal Kombat 2 on a JAMMA PCB. It's a fighter cabinet, with 6 buttons, so Mortal Kombat would be a good fit.

erm , I understood the same as André.

So you want to keep the flat screen but put in a different game?

Make it Mortal Kombat then, this game deserves no better than a LCD-monitor  ;D  :P

Seriously, how do you want to connect a standard-res game-pcb to a VGA-screen? You will need a converter. Or put in a PC with a 15kHz compatible gfx card and use soft15kHz or emucrtdrv.
