RT from the 5th july

hi guys ,

this weekend I was with my team in Road trip . I did not got much time to take picture ,sorry guys . Here under you will see the few one
This saturday as a  day that never end since it took us about 28 hours to complete the road trip .

we woke up at 4:00 pm .
11:10 we arrived at the first warehouse .

We start with the biggest . A VS From nintendo



I just arrive and I am already dirty since it is not really a warehouse but more a cow barn .

Right after that we loaded a Buck rogers from Sega .

I opened the astro battle for Nora76 in order to check if the PCB was here . I found one but no clue if it is the right one .
I had to left the cab there since it was not planned to take it that time .

We still look around the barn and start to throw away a lot of dirt,waste, old car parts and so on .
After 3 hours of cleaning we manage to acces a new area where we found :






Cab was left there since it was not planned to load them this time

we take then the truck again to the next warehouse .

there we loaded an operation wolf and some generic cab . We found in the attic from the warehouse a cocktail table from atari . It was a tournament one . Problem is that the attic has stair just big enough for 1 man . Floor from the attic is rotten and it is very dangerous place . We decided to take the machine out of here throw a small window using some rope .
It was really a pain in the ass to extract the cab from this place .

After that we switches to an other place again to grab my precious  .

Cab was not reachable last time and we had to move a lot of generic cab to get it .

After some minutes we finally reach it and I started to cry .

The machine is fully rotten . Just by touching it, it started to collapse and part fall down.



all the wood is rotten you can not make anything of it .

I was so upset that I wanted to insult the owner . My mate tried to calm me down but I was worthless.  I had to feel positiv so I decided to save everything that was possible on thinking that it may help someone later to restore is cab.

next to it it was a taito cab.

it is difficult to see it but it is filled with water .

Same shit with the gorf that was next to it . and again same shit with the galaxian that was next to it . It was even worth everything in the cab was taken out .
We just have a roten wood .

I am starting to get depressed .
We decided to leave that warehouse as i can not stand this anymore .

We head to the last warehouse .

There we spend more than 2 hours to displace old jukebox in order to acces to the machine

there we found a lot of cocktail table like carnival firebird and rally x.

We also found a space tacticecab but we have no idea yet how we can extract it since it the owner closed with brick the main entrance of the warehouse

last cab on the right is weird . It has a qix marquee with DE panel in german.

9:00 pm we left the place heading to our warehouse

3:00 We arrived at our warehouse  and started to unload it .
4:45 unloading is finished
6:30 we arrived at car rental place

I will get back to our warehouse tomorrow to took better picture of the machine .

Wow man, way to go !!!




For me, Gravitar is the King of arcade games. It is/was my grail. Next Saturday I will be picking up mine, which is in excellent shape.

I can totally imagine crying over seeing something like that. Such a beautifully shaped cab, such a brilliant artwork......even now it "bangs" on that picture.....

Did you get out all the parts ? Was the monitor still OK and was it WG6100 or maybe one of the rare Amplifones ? PCB, CP ? Maybe if you have all the parts you could recreate the cabinet. Not 100% the same thing I know but still a lot better than splitting up the parts IMHO.

Again awesome to find such warehouses anyway and keep up the pictures

Oh wow, a Missile-X, the older/younger (don't know right now) brother of my Guided Missile. I played Missile-X a lot at FAO near Frankfurt and I fell in love with the game and its artwork. I tried to find one and ended up with Guided Missile (TBH I thought the game would be Missile-X...didn't know there are two of the same kind) and meanwhile I am really happy to have a Guided Missile since you can play it with 2 players simultaneously   Please tell you didn't leave it in this arcade-hell

i got all the electronic out / panel /marquee and pcbs . unfortunately the screen is KO, it fall down when we touched the cab .

indeed most game here have mixed panel , marquee etc .

Please tell you didn't leave it in this arcade-hell 

we will go in the 2 or 3 coming weeks again in there and for sure i will take the quasar and missile x out of here .

once i am at home i will post the rest of the games we found .

Indeed it is beautiful I completely agree with you but we are a team. We are 3 and all cab are bought by the team which mean that we have to vote if we take it or not .
If 2 do not agree then we had to left it over
It is how it works and it avoid many problem .

But do not worry it is no staying there long . A new road trip is going to be planned .
