Found some pictures from my Galaxian perspex replacement.
I assume the tints are the same on Pac Man.
On the first pics you see the original plexi. It's really dark and has a smoke (brownish) like tint which i HATE. On the good side, that color is not available anymore (at least not from my local dealer). I don't like the colors of a game to be tinted so the "tint" I chose was color-less or "black/gray" if you want...
You can see I chose a lighter tint then the original. I might even go lighter today....not sure....
IMHO the dark tint of the plexis used on Pac, Ms.Pac etc is the cause for the immense burn that these monitors usually have (I know mine had !!) because they had to turn up the brightness so high. Remember the factories didn't need the games to last that long
