Bijenkorf will start selling this for €1050

http://cubify.com/cube/

OK, it's a lot of money, but I remember paying a not that much higher price for a 24 needle printer when they were new.....

Oh my god, André,

I've managed to resist the tantalizing urge to order the self-replicating 3D-Printer 'reprap' last year

http://www.reprap.org/wiki/RepRap

and now you show me THIS.

Gladly I'm out of money (thanks to Love and his Container bonanza)  :D ;)

Everyone who order this jewel of modern technology please post reviews and pictures.

I'm not saying its cheap but for what it is I wouldn't say it's a lot of money, my mind is blown by this, I don't think I can picture any use to me but I so want to play with one. I find it almost too incredible to believe even though I'm aware of the technology. We are living in the future my friends  :D
just keeping an eye on things

Of course, like with anything humanity has invented, people will also find a dark way of using it:

O cool, my son will live in a world where everyone in the world will be able to print a gun, wow I'm really thrilled by that view of the future....

no no :)

He has his own company, it was just implying that its easy to copy Lego products with the 3d printer ;)

But my mother-in-law was working at Lego some years ago, for like 15 years or so, but not in the designer area.
Also my work colleague worked at Lego, and controlled the "driving" robots in the production facility at Lego.

Have you been in Legoland (Billund, Denmark), i remember you were planning a trip to Denmark a year ago or so?

The most fun he had with programming one of those Lego robots which are really cool...

The question I have when i see this printing is, what kind of material can you use... Is it plastic, hard or soft, though?

You son must want to see the most amazing LEGO stuff someone ever has created: Take a look at the Youtube channel of this japanese guy. Astonishing! I felt like a complete dumbass after seeing this. It is pure art and high tech.

Funny....we saw something similar at Legoworld (Zwolle, The Netherlands, largest Lego fair in the world: http://www.legoworld.nl, soon again in the "autumn holiday") I think 2 or 3 years ago. It's great to follow one ball through the entire "loop"....

I do wonder where people find the time to make such things..... ;D

Moost of the time they print whit abs. this is the exact same material as lego bricks are mad of. Less popular is pla. this is a material made out of corn and is very nature friendly. little less solid but still way more then you need in moost cases.
