Great story and idea!   :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:
I'm looking forward to see some pics while you build the cabs and after when they'll be on location.
I'm sure there will be one near my place so I'll take pics there for you  ;D

That's fantastic! A great opportunity to show to the public something really cool...an arcade cabinet!  ;)

I tried also something with my Tron during the Tron Legacy theater release, see this

...but at the end, it wasn't possible to display the Tron cabinet in the Theater!  :-\ I'll try again if a new Tron movie will pop up!

I wish you a great success in that story! Whhooooooow... pressure! pressure! ... you work with Disney now! Impressive!  :)

No problem. I just need to be a bit further into the build to be able to show anything worth seeing ;)
Today i've cut the groove for the T-Molding. For the next cab i'm actually going to buy a better cutter. The cutter that I'm currently using has trouble to stay at a fixed depth so just cutting the groove will end up costing 150+ euro in tools ;) Worth every penny in the long run!

I've put the build log on my new Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/ShadalooEU/195899487116658

Supporting the project with a simple 'like' would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the look that we are going for:

We want pics, we want pics, we want pics, we want.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey Jinxz, how about making ONE playable version ? Would be nice for uhmmm, future arcade collector meetings

But then you have to contact the Disney guys and ask them what is running on the real working cabs in the US (NOT iOS and NOT flash version....there must be some dedicated hardware in there ;);D ;D

had chance to see the promo in person last weekend.

unfortunately as  one can see Disney decided to wreck some old nintendo cabs for promo. The coindoors and the marquee holder are an inidicator for that.

extremely cool - finally a look inside a cabinet! where did you get the chance to do so and do you know what's going to happen with it after the film's run? honestly, i don't care that much that disney used nintendo cabs for that, because i think it's a great idea and effort to get an arcade machine out in the open and make it available to the public. i'm sure they didn't pick mint cabinets for their operations, but probably machines which were either empty or pretty much done anyway. i think they did a nice job on the fix it felix cabs - me like!!! :-*
all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!
