The cool thing about gamerooms is
a) you can use colors that you would -never- use in your home
b) -you- decide what colors you choose.....no need to negotiate with your partner

Looking good Bruno, I bet the purplish color will take some layers to cover.

The red that I used took three layers and still didn't cover 100%
The blue that I used took only one layer to almost cover completely, but I did a second anyway

why is the primer colored?

All the primers one can buy here are white.  And the paint store can tint it to any color you want.  Heck, there's a paint type that's becoming popular which has paint + primer in one.  2 coats and you're done.

Glad to see you appreciate the color  ;) Here's an other shoot with some natural light...

...but let's wait for the finished result  ;)

Is it a fluorescent paint?

Nope, it's extra mate... but who knows how it will react under crazy colored lightening I plan to use  ::) ;)

The primer was originally white,  but I prefer to tint it when I apply it. I hate to paint 'white' on 'white'  :P

Ok, the second 'huuuuuuuuge' wall is done...

And now, the last wall

Next round... the second layer of paint ... boring but necessary! (hope I won't need a third layer...)

In parallel, I also have to think about 'how to arrange games in the three rooms'.
Too many games, few of them are really big/heavy, impossible to wait the d-day and try to move/arrange them in live, so no other choice than to think about it 'virtually' first.
So I've done the V1/V2/V3 plans in sketchup, here's a preview (wip)  8)

...still some details to add, but here it is, after hours spending to learn the software (quite easy fortunately) / taking measurements (no an easy job with two rooms full of cabinets!)  8)

Where is the extra door in V3 ? Seems to be missing in that drawing ?
Just noting so you don't plan any games in front of it ;)

I'm not sure exactly when I'll be able to visit, but next time we're going south into europe, probably to Prague to visit my relatives, we could make a detour to Bruno's space-station. I will ofcourse contact Bruno well in advance so that we can synchronize a convenient occasion.

Then there will be action.

Yeps... but I'm a little bit faster than George Lucas, each trilogy take him 9 years of his live  to complete  ;D

Read through the whole topic yesterday, shame it wasnt ALL caught on video, would have made a great documentary!

I thought about that too... I didn't know at the time that would evolve in that way of course. :P
