Maybe you should also provide some electricity contacts in the middle of the floor. So you can still place about 4 cabinets in the middle of the V3.

Yes, that an addition to the 'draft' plan. A dedicated circuit will come from the the ceiling in order to power a dozen of cabinets.

A date has been set with OmbreNoire for doing together all the 'electricity' part. It should take an entire day of work. But before his coming, I need to prepare few things...

So let's start to buy few things...

Yes, I'm tired to use my 8 old years drill that doesn't work anymore and make the job harder!

40 (yes, FORTY) fluorescent tubes... LOL, yes you all know I'm fan of that  ;D

...and other electricity stuff...

...to be validated by OmbreNoire  ;)

I know there is much more to buy... but it's a start!  ::)

Your dedication to building your dream games room is outstanding!

I just wish I had both the location (I live in a 1 bed apartment) and resources (too much credit crunch related debt, and a wife to support) to do something similar  :(

One day....

Thanks! Your 'moral' support is very important!  :)

I must confess I'll be happy when that room will be finished! I'm a little bit tired to spend all my free time on 'house building' stuff! After my family of course, I would prefer to spend the rest of my 'precious' free time to cabinets renovation (you should see the list of cabinets waiting their turn!), improving the website/board (a LOT of road trips unpublished!), Galaxian3 stuff and other ALS related things   ...but yes, I know at the end the entire new game room will give me entire satisfaction and will worth all the efforts and money spent!

Hey, see that beautiful red sky over the V1  8)

Expect a lot of updates very soon!  ;)

yep we're not in the usa.  it's an important matter in Europe because so rare are the "big" gamerooms projects to motivate ourselves.

and who knows, if fate decides and he becomes a very good show or movie director  , cyril could do a big gameroom one day too  :spaceace:

Thanks guys, and welcome to you to this board, Cyril.  :)

Glad you like to follow this 'loooooooooong story'. Sorry for the lack of update, I really have all the materials for many pictures and a lot of details, but I just don't have enough time  ... anyway, I'll do my best to update more often!  :P

OK, before the coming of 'ombrenoire' for the electricity part, we need to bring power from the source of my house, into the V3.
So, let's re use the trench done few years ago for the V1...digging time

(you can guess on the picture the existing red 'V1' pipe)

Of course, we have to extend the trench to the V3.
Not sure so far how much power I'll need for all my stuff, but it any case, the new cable will have to start for the main power arrival into my house, so If I have to upgrade it (more power) if needed, the cable will be on the perfect location.

And the famous hole done in the V3 for the new cable to come of course

Bruno, did you ever thought about using solar panels on every of your gaming rooms, in order to gain back some electricity? This could pay a bit of the expensive warming bills that these rooms must cost to you?

Yes, I guess it will be a natural move...but just can't do it for the moment. I'm sure it'll be a good investment, not only for the game room, but also for my house.

Let's fix the power sockets ... here's few of them :

Cannot use one socket per game, it would be too much sockets to install, and definitely not enough at the end, so...  ::)  ;)
