...and this one... how the V3 look like, from the V2 'point of view'  :P

Here's the same picture, but from the other side of the window

So yes, that window will be removed and I'll open as large as I can that wall.

Quite a drop in elevation between....  Steps or Ramp?

Yes! Something like 80 or 90 cm (or 31-35 inch) if I remember well.
The size will decrease a little bit after concrete layer, wood, insulate, carpet or whatever, but it will still be a big level difference.
I'll decide it what to do later... maybe a removable ramp in wood just for moving cabinets in and out, and high steps permanently?

why the difference in elevation of the floors?  Is it the way the ground slopes in your backyard?

In any case, having a few step is not a big deal .. arcades, casinos, amusement parks all have them.  As long as they're well lit, you'd be fine.

(with 31-35" drop, minimum code here would be 4-5 steps accordingly)

Since your Lair is a relatively dark space, you might want to make those steps a bit more visible. Something like this maybe?

I think this might look good actually  :)
No arcade cab(s) yet, but happy owner of 2 Colecovisions, 2 Amigas and a pc running Mame.

Yes, because of the ground. Here's a side view to illustrate

I'm getting motion sickness just watching that video! As cool as it seems, I don't think it captures "real life" feelings of playing the game, no car moves that much in real life.  When I brake, I don't have the front of the car tilt 45 degrees forward!  Cool never the less..

I think a ramp made of concrete (or wood if needed) would be best!  I think it would be awesome to walk from v2 to v3 and go down a nicely carpeted slope!  :D  Plus a big bonus with moving games in... Very Easy!   See if the contractors doing your flooring can make this happen!

Damn! I'm really l8te on this

Ok, let's start with an easy thing... adding the only window of the room.  8)

I don't have to buy a new one, my father found one for me...

...but a little bit 'too high' for the existing hole...

...but the the job is finally done after the 'hole modification'...

Let there be light!  ;D

As you can see, the window was placed high enough to allow a 'normal size' cabinet to be located there...
