Coin door plate work:

Get some nails with a nice round and shiny head. They also need to fit of course :)

Mark where you will need holes on the repro coin door plate using the door (from the back). Drill the holes with a Dremel

Remove the backing and position the plate using the nails, then press hard to activate the glue

Oops, the nails extend too far on the underside...can't have that for the coin mechs so

Cut the nails back a bit

Put a bit of construction glue on the nails. Insert them in the holes and hammer them in carefully, use some protection for the heads of the nails

You drilled from the bottom to the top? Why not the other way around? Looking nice by the way.

I didnt want to mark the good side, although it should have been OK because it still had the protection layer...
Worked fine though

Next up....derusting coin mech holders.....if the chrome paint works well the coin return buttons will be painted as well. Those things are a bitch by the way....one of them was completely stuck out of the "guide". Had to use some force to get it back in. If pushed too far they still get out of the guide. Meh.....who's going to push them anyway....

Ow fuck.......I just discovered something........not all Midway coindoors are equal.....

See I swapped coin doors.....I still had a very nice condition coindoor which was almost identical to the door that was originally on my MS.pac. That coindoor was dented at one of the coin returns but I had it sandblasted anyway because it went for the same price.....

Now I just tried installing the coin mech holders......no dice. There is a "bump" on the front of them which this door doesn't have room for......can't mount them.....

Not a problem....the only thing is I now have to try and remove the Midway coin plate again....or maybe it's better to order another...sigh...

It's not just you. I can't see them either.
It's because he's linking the images from arcade-museum.com and you have to be logged in there to view them. :-\
I can't be bothered to make an account there just to see images...

I'm just lurking...
I enjoy reading about arcade cabinets. I don't own one though... :(
