“lasdopen” are used in home electrics Fore solid copper wire you turn them in
I think the ones in the picture are indeed squeezed  to the wire, sorry don’t know the name of them seen them in some of my own cab’s before

no real good reason expect for the fact that those "lasdopen" where there originally and are used on other spots on the wiring harness ...

I dont like the conic screw lasdoppen, i preffer the steeklasdop, but thats only for full core cupper wire..

Ayway, Ully means  a "crimp lasdop" :

.

that is different then the screw types:

found those here :

http://amdindonesia.com/?Product:Wiring_Accessories:Lasdop

Does RS dont carry these ?

ps they reffer to them as "Nylon insulated close-end wire connector"

hope that it helps..

The biggest problem with them are that you have to make a PROPER crimp which requires a GOOD crimp tool.
Another problem is that it's a one time only connection. Make it and if you ever need to redo it you have to destroy it.

The strip I suggest (get GOOD quality not the Chinese rubbish that are in the 1 euro bins at the DIY store !)
can be cut to size (so 2 terminals only if needed etc.), and further you only need a screwdriver.

My suggestion is to twist two wires together and mount them from one side. Alternatively, twist the strands on each wire and tin them.

Here in Canada they are as common as water.  Every home Reno store carries them.  They're also heavily used in the automotive industry.  Don't you have a local store which sells car parts for diyers?
