Still cutting and slipping them in envelopes atm  :P

I need to admit that the cutting and sorting is indeed time consuming, but a man has got to do what a man has got to do !  ;D

Every day a little and then its finished soon...

Cutting done  :)

Slipped everyting in enveloppes and took the weight of each of them to calculate the shipping costs.

The envelopes i used are enforced ones with cardboard to prevent blending during shiping.
I will attach labels with "fragile" and "do not blend" on them as an extra precaution.
I hope the postal service doesn't screw up..  ;D

People involved will receive a PM soon with details.

All PM's are send, some people have responded and payed.

The people that have payed can expect they're stickers soon, since this night i packed them into "cardboard rugged envelopes".

I have added some labels with "fragile/do not blend" and i have sticked them with a little piece of masking tape on a piece of paper so they stay away from the edges of the envelope to prevent damage.

Be carefull when you take them out so you don't wrinkle them when removing from the "support paper"  ;)

I'll drop them in the mail tomorow.

Finally i see the profit of my Dymo  ;D

If you have questions, please PM me..

Cool little printer, often thought of getting one of those...

Is it good enough to do the VAN sticker ?

I officialy canonize you "St Etienne of Arcadeum". :spaceace:

I was thinking, do you know if this printer can print bezel or marquee directly in the back of a plexiglass? It would been soOOo nice! :P

By the way, i love those metallic jamma stickers ! ;)

I have asked them if that was possible, but there is a technical aspect that is an issue.

Its not the printing that is a problem, because the guy says as long as it fits under the printer they can print on it.
The problem is the ink.
That is Transparent...  so it has a good coverage, and probably will look good at first sight, but when you lit the fluorecent lamp behind it, you will see the lightfixture "shine throug"..
Thats why they adviced me to go a different route and that is print in mirror on the non adhesive side of transparent vinyl, and paste white vinyl over that.

so the adhesive side will have the correct image while the ink is trapped between the two layers of vinyl, which also give another advantage, which is protection of the ink.

The colors are calibrated on the white background, so if you want the correct colors, you need a white (or simular tint where they can calibrate to) surface to print on.

now i can imagine you think; Hey why not print on the normal side of white plexi ?

Then you have the ink on the outside of the marquee..
it is possible ofcourse, but in the past they silkscreened it on the back, so i think that is the way to repro IMHO.

Cool little printer, often thought of getting one of those...

Is it good enough to do the VAN sticker ?

Back on this, i know its not the correct topic, but i am not stealing it since its my own topic  ;D

I tried with different settings in the PDF and in the printer settings....  :-\

Since my wife's pc only has Foxit reader for pdf's i could not reposition or scale it so good..  :'(

but...

there

is

hope...

I took the AI file, saved it as EPS, took that in photoshop while importing it it asked the resolution i wanted so i said 1200 dpi

must be high enough for a 7x2,2cm sticker  ;D

Saved it as a TIFF and took the software that came with the printer.
opened the designer and imported the picture..

after some shifting i found a position that fitted completely  :spaceace:

Sorry for the flash..
The etikets are not 100% compatible with my printer, so thats why i needed to shift a bit in the designer..

I printed 10 more so you have enough now for all your cabinets  ;)

Will be delivered with the alu stickers ..
