Whoohooo !  It looks super to me !

Im glad it worked out like we expected..

did you cut the buttons out before drilling like we discussed ?
(i was a bit affraid that the same was going to happen like Level42's Puckman CPO..)

it could be that the blue is light with a lightsource behind it

can muerto confirm that its lighter blue when lit behind ?

the color codes are the ones i got from him, but ofcourse i cannot tell the "thickness" the printer used.

but anyway it looks better than without marquee  ;D

It looks fantastic, you made a brilliant job and a that printing quality is also awesome. ;D
It can't be seen at the pics, but this one looks like a brand new original Namco Galaxian Bezel. ;)
I did what you advised and cut out the sticker under the holes, so there were no accidents.
The marquee is also very nice, I leave it like that, just remembered  a little bit darker in Toralf's machine and the one in the japanese Museum.
Once again, huge thanks to the Vector King!!! ;D

I used to 'meet' that Italian "Japanese-like" ::) cabinet, in London at the Virgin Megastore in 2007 (...and ZAVVI in 2008)  8)

(more pictures that cabinet right here)  ;)

Unfortunately, it wasn't the original Galaxian board in it, but a 48in1.
Anyway, it was the original artworks... just awesome and very well preserved on that particular one (see the additional pictures)
I had a contact in London, and I almost but that one  :P ...but the cabinet finally left the place...for an unknown destination  :-\

Your cabinet looks awesome now, Belike  :P

I've done a couple of prayers (which is strange for an atheist) that this has survived in some way.... !!!
It's LOVELY.

Wow, this is great work Etiènne. And you are planning to do the side art as well? Superb.  :spaceace:

Soon the world will be a Namco Galaxian repro art set file richer, and it isn't coming from the States.  ;D

Looks like Zorg has them now available :spaceace:
(Not done by me)

Kickplate and side art was traced by "Jeannot K" from the scans I've made.

for his firsts tries at vectorisation of arcade artwork, he have done a tremendous work.

many thanks and kudos to Jeannot !!!1

Funny, all the "vector starters" start at namco galaxian, the bezel was my first vector also  ;D ;D ;D

I only have found a scaling issue in the file, and i E-mailed you about it Zorg.

For the rest i agree, Stunning work !!!!  :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:

ps, i dont see the kickplate on the galaxian page at vectorlib ?

got the mail, I will fix the scaling issue. I haveto go to the workshop in order to have some measurement made.

kickplate is over vectorlib maybee a cache refresh problem on you side.

Have a look at this latest Namco archive revealed by the great ugsf-series website.

I don't understand the Japanese text & google translator doesn't really help this time, but it seems to been the original artwork and all the color references for the cabinet artworks!?

If so, a real piece of museum  :-* :-* :-* ... who want it framed and displayed in his game room?  ::) ;)

Here's the original source, if maybe a Japanese friend can translate?  ::)  http://ugsf-series.com/blog/?p=328

Damn that's nice !!!

I never really noticed before, but it looks like there are two pilots in the eyes of the alien ship (helmets).....bit weird. Also the wires going to the wings remind me of a WWI era plane also a bit weird. Love it though, everything is allowed in video game fantasy :)

I wouldn't want it framed on my wall (at least not that original !) but if I would have it I'd see if I could make repro's, or at least scan it for the future !!!

Looks to me like that site just collects the artwork and nothing else...? That would be a real shame...

hehe, if you remove it, i would like to have both versions..... dunno if i´m going to use the one with the autograph on, as mine is not Italian made....

Digging up an old thread with some good reason....I totally forgot, you got a Japanese Galaxian too Michael ?? Or just the bezel ?

[EDIT] Never mind, you answered my (same) question earlier in the thread. Still interested in your bezel...does it have a dual button for left-right or joystick (one hole) ?
