[Road Trip] Bulk delivery + Punch Out pickup
« on: July 03, 2010, 09:41:19 AM »
10 days ago i asked my friend if he wanted to join me on a road trip, and he (of course) did! :D :D

So, yesterday at 1230HRS we loaded the cabs; the "Amiga" cab in the buttom, the "Nintendo" on top... ahremm! - and the Generic in the back!

Almost forgot, Popeye Marquee, Bezel and CP..

But, as anyone know, you wont get far without some fuel for the car...  ::)

Another famous windmill picture, this in the process of being build!

Crossing "Lille Belts Broen"

Cabs delivered!

At place "C" i had to do some emergency venting.... :D

... and the digging may commence..

On our way home (C-D) i spot this..... mmmmmmmm nice, but damn small!

Finally home, the 2 babies side by side....!

And the proud father!!!!  ;D ;D ;D

Now, the PU needs some TLC! - luckily i ordered some nice T-mold  ;D

Le Specs:
One Country
7 Hours total - 427,3 KM driven
This road trip is officially over!

Damn a Punch Out! I love that game. And please tell me more about that amiga cab, it isn't an official one is it? I was just talking to my girlfriend (a former amiga club member) yesterday about all those great games it had.

And why didn't you keep the nintendo for yourself?

wow, those two nintendo cabinets look awesome next to each other. punch out is such a great game with that dual monitor setup - i'm officially jealous  ;) thx for sharing!

Now, the PU needs some TLC! - luckily i ordered some nice T-mold  ;D

unfortunately, only putting new t-molding on won't do the trick :P this machine doesn't need SOME TLF, it needs TONS OF TLC!!! go michael  :spaceace:

all i need is ... PONG - and a select few others: TOUCH ME, DRAGON'S LAIR, JOUST, ROBOTRON, MR DO, SAN FRANCISCO RUSH THE ROCK!!!

And why didn't you keep the nintendo for yourself?

The Nintendo was a scratch build, and something went wrong regarding the measures...  :-\
That´s why i sold it...

And, the Amiga cab is one i did for fun as i thought it would fit in The Shed among all those other arcade games..... unfortunately it did not... :'( - so it had to go...

nice pictures, and nice crack in the windshield. Don't drive on a bumpy road.

Hehe, i think that crack has been there for about 2 years now.... but it´s not blocking the drivers view so it´s allowed to drive with :)

nice. I like the PlayChoice cab. You can play some good games on that if it's fully working

I had an Amiga too when I was young. On which I played SideWinder, Emerald's Mine and Bionic Commando

Ahhhh, yes that famous ball that showed off just how amazingly powerful the Amiga was !

Somewhat later someone programmed something MUCH better for the Atari 8 bit series (Note, NOT the ST series):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzxAfGTO8nE

So....amazing work comparing the "humble" Atari 8 bit (Designed in 1978) to the "brand new" 16/32 bits Amiga.

The funny truth is that both machines were designed by more or less the same teams.....
