I was in Germany (TRIER, less than one hour from my house  ;)) this morning for a simple walk with my wife. In every streets, a lot of people, ready to see the match on the numerous giant screen in the city! A lot of stand with beers, sausages, ice cream, etc... I regret not to stay there also the after noon, just to live the event 'with the German'... and see the incredible ambiance 'from the inside' during the match :P ...and also see what was the reaction after the TRUE second goal from England...
Opss... it's time to see Argentina vs Mexico now   :P

just got back from celebrating - WHAT A MATCH!!! of course the most talked about scene was THE WEMBLEY REVENGE

but as andré has already stated: i think we would have won no matter what. this must have been one of the best - if not THE best - games from the germans i've ever seen!

GO GERMANY  :spaceace: :spaceace: :spaceace:

More than ever, after the 2 refereree's errors (even if I don't think it wouldn't have changed the victory of Germany nor Argentina)
FIFA will be oblidged to introduce the help of video in such cases, just like it's done in rugby.

I don't think International Rugby Federation regrets in any way their choice of video support.
First argument is that with huge screens in stadium, the crowd can almost judge with a better sight.
So the public can judge using these screens but the referees could not ?
Even if they see in replays that their decision is wrong ?

by the way, ich soll deutchland gratulieren : you deserve victory.

i totally agree: wrong decisions by referees have influenced a lot of games in a crucial way during the tournament - something has to be done!

I loved every minute of the England - Germany match. And I have to say that I'm impressed by the way the German team played. They have a lot of speed and their attacks which led to some beautiful goals were well performed. The Dutch team will have a tough job beating them in the finals.

But the referee team was a disaster (as with Argentina - Mexico). The match would have gone in a totally other direction if the score would have been 2-2. It's a real shame and intolerable. That old fool Blatter and his ancient companions have to go.

Believe me, the best is yet to come ! :D

Friday will be Holland-Brazil.....I think....time for revenge !!

By the way another poor referee, that penalty was INSANE !!! Stekelenburg didn't even touch the Slowak....  100% Schwalbe !

or "fopduik". translated: fake dive

anyway, I am not that impressed by the gameplay of the Dutch, but as we are in the 'German' role right now as everyone says, If we reach the semifinals, we have the typical German route to the finals, which means the easy one. Either Uruguay or Ghana and not Spain/Argentina or Germany or Portugal for that matter.

But I am not so sure about friday...

hey, well done, holland!!! i'm so happy to see those brazilian guys go, they didn't deserve to win with such a gameplay. although the dutch haven't been convincing either up to this point, they played pretty well this time, especially in the second half. one more step towards my dream final
