In that case: Congrats Ully, and as I predicted, we are on the road for the finaly: The Netherlands-Germany.

Shame that the victories will end there for you, but still a very good tournament played.

You see it is like this:

The Dutch play like the German used to.
The German play like the Dutch used to.

The German became world champion three times.

THUS this time WE will (FINALLY) be the Masters of the World !  ;D ;D

Exactly, that's why we will win. The Dutch team played the nicest football on the WC of '74 and '78, but we lost both times in the finals. This year the Germans play the nicest football and that's why they will loose the finals.  ;D

It's a shame, but it will happen.

There is one category of Dutch people who don't want Holland to win: the houseboat owners in the Amsterdam canals.

IF they become World Champion I actually don't see something like this happening again......times have changed.....It would be simply a much too high security risk today that no mayor or other official guy wants to take.
A shame, but true.

And why in Amsterdam ??

I think you should not think ahead that far

That is "de goden verzoeken" as they say in Italy :) :)

Well in that case I would have missed the most challenging job so far: Endemol studios and offices. By far the most complex installation we've done so far, and somehow it's good to know they asked me to do it :P

Today I was at a Hotel that was  being totally reconstructed on the inside. Since it was on the canals there was very little space (only 1 container for "the boss", so the people who had to eat had to go in a kitchen that they rented on the canal boat right across the building. Pretty funny, probably the weirdest place to work for me so far (was programming the system). The guy living on the boat actually still walked around...well I guess he made some easy bucks this way :)

Not so boring, one beautiful goal from Van Bronckhorst, then a louzy period from the 32 - 43 minute with a goal from Uruguay. I saw it coming, we let control the Uruguayan team the play during this short period. It's now 1-1 and halftime and I hope that we get a grip on the match again in the second half.

Edit: we did it, we did beat Uruguay with 3-2, and the last few minutes were pretty excited. Overall we didn't win with great football, but we played pretty solid.

Germany, here we come.
